I agree that nobody has stood out, but Diaz hasn't been tried in the centre and he can mix it up and be a handful...it might create space for the others to take a shot even if he can't. If that didn't work I'd sub him with Archer and bring Tall Paul in for the last 20 minutes and bombard their penalty area with high balls. It won't happen of course, it's not the Russ way. |

Agreed. Those 3 supposedly winnable games would be needed for a new manager to win. RM has used up his winnable games already. You'd think/hope SR would have 3 or 4 talented coaches who have proved themselves in Europe lined up, eg. another Poch or Koeman, but they're track record in appointing managers has been dismal to date. Potter or Moyes would give us a chance. |

Man U won't want Potter, they'll be looking further up the food chain as he bombed at rivals Chelsea. Fergie has already endorsed Massimiliano Allegri. |

My brother was staying at the Hilton in Bournemouth yesterday, and to his surprise the Saints team were there sitting about in the lounges playing cards at 3pm! Why would they they not just get the coach down straight to the stadium before the game? So they were all fanying around for hours in Central Bournemouth doing what? All I can suggest is that this was some daft way of helping them to de-stress or chill out before the battle ahead. Ultimately they played the game at a slower pace than Bournemouth and we're half a yard too slow to every ball. So is this another example of the RM philosophy in new wave football? |

Lots of Saints fans come from Bournemouth (me included) as Saints were always seen as the big South Coast club! Lots followed Phil Boyer and Ted McDougal back in the day, and of course Laurie Mac was a British household name and a big pull. I always want Saints to beat Bournemouth, but still want them to stay up. |

Driving, park in the side streets, walk to the ground easy. Being treated to the hospitality by my wealthy brother who's a big cherry fan. |

Correct, but however many times you say it Dirk, Southamptonfan thinks everything is going well. |

We should have won this game, but it's the fecking around at the back that has lost us all the other games to date. That is squarely on the manager. There's got to be some up and coming foreign managers we got our eye on. If we implode against B'mouth the press the button. |

It's not that we haven't got the money, it's more that we buy lots of mediocre players for about £10m rather than 3 or 4 proven PL players who can be relied on to do a job. Rather than Archer, Diaz and Cornet we should have put that money into one proven front player at this level. |

Well the question was, will RM change things today?, and to his credit he did. The team looked more balanced, quicker and with more forward movement...and less stupid passing at the back ( but still too much for my liking). Ramsgate mixed it up and kicked some nice longer passes, and until the penalty we were the better side with some good chances. Not being able to convert those chances is our achillies heal, and he needs to find someone who can put it in the net. Maybe Stewart will come good, but I'd put Diaz in the middle and give him some service. We lost it after that penalty miss, but at last RM seems to be responding. |

With Frazer and Dibling playing we'll have more chance of scoring. |

Will he change it? And by how much? If he doesn’t he's 2 games Ipswich and Bournemouth to turn it around. After that he's toast. |
