When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Pr..obably.

Lights are still on. If they don't cover it again won't it freeze by morning?

Are you suggesting that the groundstaff would leave all the pitch uncovered when working on small areas of it? And that they would leave any of the pitch uncovered over night leaving it exposed to the elements?

I'm sure they possess common sense!

The forecasts seem to be changing all the time, they had no snow until the Met Office site earlier, now it's heavy, light snow at midnight and same again at 6am!
.... then light snow for tomorrow night until Sunday!

I think we can safely say they ain't got a bloody clue how much of the stuff we will get

No not suggesting that, but the areas that are being worked on may freeze as the temperatures drop. That's why it was a question.

See the areas in question by searching #rafc on twitter.

Would it have been better to have allowed Sunday's snow to fall on top of the covers, as in previous years?

Just checked from bathroom window edit: floodlight still on. It's a tremendous effort by all involved, still going at this time.

Obviously someone cocked up or couldn't be arsed putting the covers on the pitch Sunday.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
