I know it might be a stupid suggestion seen as Mellon is free now how about bringing him into the background as a coach surely that'd help to our push out of the 4th tier

You are right.

I don't think Coleman will go. If he did we would have a disgruntled squad full of JCs mates. We would need someone with a name that would have the players respect. Although I would love a Whitehall, Bayliss or a Griffiths etc. I think someone more along the lines of a Paul Ince would be what we would need. Or a Parkin someone who wouldn't take any sh1t and would instill discipline into the team.

I'm not an advocate for Coleman being sacked. In fact, I've posted many positive posts about him up till recently, believing him to be the best man for the job.

But I would say, now I'm not so sure. There appears to be almost a lack of professionalism about some of the things that are happening, both on the pitch and off it; and to me, that's just about the worst accusation you can label someone with, so for the moment I'll keep it as "appearing". I hope he goes on to prove me wrong and complete a long and ultimately successful tenure at Dale, which is what he claimed he'd come here to do.

At Accy, I suspect he was allowed to get away with pretty much a free rein, being almost untouchable due to his year-on-year improvement in their standings in the football pyramid. Our chairman has therefore got to show some leadership, and give Coleman a serious talking to. If Coleman isn't prepared to listen, then - and only then - should CD be thinking about a change of manager.

What about Micky Mellon!..
Or is he a money manager...

A freind of mine who watches Fleetwood had the same complaints about Mellon that we have about Coleman , no width, no plan B too narrow ect so I would say no to him, Flickers for me

The way things are going we should go for Steve Bleasdale and Ron Atkinson - that would ensure good continuity with the current alleged goings on.

More seriously, If not Flickers I'd go for someone like Paul Peschisolido who was promising at Burton and believes in width.
