Good on the CPS for successfully appealing this monster’s conviction and securing a pretty significant increase in sentence. FGM and forced marriage is abhorrent and hopefully the increased sentence from 4.5 years to 7 will send out a strong message. If this guy is a foreign national he should be deported as soon as his sentence is done.

Lived in Neath Road in our fair city at the time of the conviction. Wonder whether he had work here. Reports variously say he was previously a PhD student and "professor" (probably meaning a lower academic grade) at Nottingham University.
