From the person who bitches and about the replies he gets every single day.
I think you're missing my point, Clive, in regard to your own self-esteem and well-being, which is what I was trying to support. Yes, I can be reactive to little things like being called, ooh let's think about last week alone, a troll, a pornographer, and a narcissist by people who've never met me and just want to be abusive (while projecting their own nastiness onto me), but try not to exaggerate and perhaps be a little more fair-minded! If you look back, you'll see many, many positive posts/polls/little think pieces from me here going back quite a long way and that are hugely supportive of this site, and of your excellent work on it.

Good shout on Field MotM with so many competing.
We're loving Saito right now - doesn't stop, complete respect. Accidental collision in the 2nd half and stands over their player to make sure he's OK. Since Chair's been out he's assumed that inside left position and wonder where he'll be when Chair's back.
Agree RE Saito - would love to know if he's ours beyond this season or not. WLS suggested he was originally, but our comms are typically vague

My point was generally on Madsen is that he is starting in my view to perform better in the team and probably in Championship football generally based on his last 3 games, albeit from a point previously that was a pretty low bar. Remains to be seen if this improvement continues, but I don't want to write him off just yet.

It is a bit soul destroying. Somewhere in the region of 60,000 words this week all told. With travel. With day job.
First comment every time - he that was a six not a five.

Well, if you'd get them right first time round, we wouldn't have to correct them.

I actually wouldn't take it so personally Clive, it's not so much a reflection on your ratings but on the perennial argument about the perceived merits of certain players.
Your match reports, previews etc stand way above anything else football related I read....with a quick doff of my cap to Jack Supple as well

I agree about Madsen, sadly I had to sit with the Watford fans yesterday , the only way I could get a ticket and so had a good view of his pathetic effort to score. How a so called pro footballer can fashion an effort like that baffles me. Apart from that he was average at best
The issue with Madsen is when he doesn't have the ball, he's absolutely atrocious in the press and in transition. He also stands out by being so unwilling to receive or want the ball. We mention his height a lot, mainly because you rarely see a 6ft 4 midfielder that doesn't want to take the ball with his back to goal and doesn't do anything at all in the air.
With some time and space he can pick a nice pass, he's played some beauties with the right weight that have set away Celar and Smyth the last few games, but everything else in his game is lacking atm.

Transfermrkt and OneFootball websites both suggest that his contract with Belgian side Lommel is up at the end of the season, so he will be free agent if we haven't signed him.
Your match reports retain a high standard of observation and wit regardless of how we have played. Querying a playerās rating comes from someone perhaps should write their own.
Wish I could be like David Watts

I am still trying to work out how to post. I do hope this is a reply to this bloke called Stainsford Elbow. I am like many who truly appreciate all that Clive does for us and the many others that contribute on this forum. I really enjoy the banters back and forth. I am a gentle man but you have finally made me want to tell you that enough is enough. You are toxic. Go forth and multiply you annoying little person. Meanwhileā¦.I agree with most on hereā¦.Clive is the one that helps me keep the faith!

Definitely our best performance this season, first time Iāve thought maybe we can still belong in this league.
Iād say our best performances have been Palace, Sunderland and Watford. What that seems to suggest is, come at us and the whole team will give you a game, sit back and the entire team are clueless.
Given the overwhelming numbers that form the latter in this league, unless Marti can train that into them, we will be in trouble.

Agree Steve. Again, it's because our attack is so lousy. We can't go and seize control of games against teams like that, because we've got nothing to seize it with.

Great write up and a really encouraging performance. I just hope we can keep up the levels of confidence which has clearly risen since the win , but also since the meetings a couple of weeks back .
Seems to be a change in Marti and the togetherness since then .
Anyway , also agree with the Sky scheduling b*llocks. I mentioned on the match thread yesterday that the āf*ck Skyā chants , presumably from the Rās fans were quickly muted and what seemed to be ācrowd noiseā pumped over the top.
Pathetic

I missed yesterday's match (4:00am k.o. here, plus overnight visitors.) I caught DAzN's 10 minute highlight package later though. Interestingly seven minutes was all QPR's attacking goalmouth action and about 3 minutes Watford's. Based on comments here that would seem to be an accurate proportion, yes?

Whatever noise they pumped in certainly didnāt come from the Watford fans. Almost funereal atmosphere. Very odd considering their home results.

Think my friend you are very aware that is yourself that is initially abusive to others before they say anything back in your direction.
As you say most on here personally don't know you as a person but unfortunately you post very often in an abusive way and name call also.
I think perhaps.in real life you could well be a decent person but sadly your online presence on here is angry towards.anyone that disagrees with you.
As a poster on here, I think you know you are very aware of how you come across online and you kind of enjoy this strange small time notoriety.
It's all very strange.
In the world of online forums the troubles you can post on this site would unfortunately have got you a site permanent ban on most.
It's a great place.for.debate but if you could be more civil before blaming all and sundry ahead of your good self and you have done many attempts.at name calling others. When you get a reaction back you start.to bleat.
If you could stop the name calling of others you will find everyone on here pretty reasonable.to be fair.

Yes. There's a bit in the second half of the Sky highlights when the commentator says "Nardi, with a rare save to make."
"Remember to listen to me but look at her. Don't get it the wrong way round. That would be hideous."

Absolutely Love the Everything but the goal headline. Hopefully the Frankie thread is permeating your musical choices
A few missed chances but a decent draw...proper progress.
Weirdly I was at a day rave at E1 on Saturday and found out the score just as the DJ put on a naughty trance mix of Missing You (EBTG) and the place proper went off
But seriously, thanks for all the reports etc. PLUR So hope we will be OK, I can't can't countenance 3rd division football again fck that
Back to the music this will always be my favourite tune of theirs .......plus at that time QPR were proper good and there was future and hope lol

I was pulled up about Ashby earlier in the week. Think he vindicated me here. Iāll concede heās chipped a great ball into the path of Josef Celar for the second time in two and a half days but; Jesus Christ on a motorbike; WTF was that miss three yards out?!? Nobody, I meanā¦ no bod Dee ā¦ has any business missing that. Itās unforgivable. The Geordies must surely be having an internal investigation into that Ā£5mill transfer from West Ham. Bizarre
That aside it was a decent if not frustrating watch. Exposed why this squad looks destined for the drop but then you look at the table and just hopeā¦. If we can stay in touch and allow the grown ups to add some Championship level players we might avoid relegation Weāve been circling the drain for so many years; if this floater of a squad doesnāt get flushed this year then I predict weāll never relegated from this level. Ever.
Really rooting for Marti and good to see the players putting it in for him. Will it be enough? All crossed
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Have you ever been in that situation?? It is far from easy even if you are a professional footballer. He should have done better but the ball came to him very quickly and he snatched at it - it happens very often.......
Yes, and I buried it. It was a very simple opportunity which Madsen made a complete hash of. The look on his face said it all. He knew it, I knew it, and everyone else in the ground knew it.

I'm starting to think we may have turned the corner. As you say the Cardiff performance was the weakest in the week, but the Watford game should have been won.
I think Morrisons return, and Varanes uptick in performance, have been key over the past 3 weeks.
We are still 'carrying' a couple of players, but I finally can see a slither of the sunlit uplands in the distance.
Damn you hope........

Very encouraging performance, butā¦I think you nailed it with the conclusion, so letās hope this is building towards something.
How was Andersen? Did he play better? Any signs of improvement?
Nardi has been phenomenal! I do wonder if he was signed purely on stats without anyone watching him like Madsen. If so, we clearly lucked out and goes to show how risky our recruitment strategy is.

24 x 8 feet that is the size of the target he had to hit fro approx 15 yards out. Now as for me, when I was playing in the west London commercial league thousands of years ago I would have been very disappointed to not hit that target from there . And I havenāt spent most of my life being coached to play football.

Like you I never saw this performance coming even after Wednesday night.
A week ago I was convinced this was our season to be relegated now I have that horrible "Hope" feeling again.
The best bit about Saturday was it was the first time my sixteen year old Daughter went to an away game on her own without me. She got the tube with a couple of her friends and I picked her up at the tube station afterwards. She was buzzing when she got back in the car. It was a real adventure for them on their own
I don't know why but it was a very proud moment for Dad. Took me back to my first away day on my own in the early eighties.
