As previously mentioned, we're coming off the back of three consecutive 20+ gold medal hauls. Something more in line with where we probably should be was inevitable at some point. It may be a transitional period, it may be signs that we're going to settle back into the pack.
It's still a hell of a lot better than it used to be though, and will probably remain well above where we spent most of the second half of the 20th Century in terms of achievement. | |
