To concede 2 goals in injury time is unbelievable, how on earth couldn't we keep possession for 2 minutes after their first.

Totally stunned tonight!

That is of course a fair comment but they weren’t faffing about so much at the end, they just didnt close down their wide players.

It is tantamount to football suicide.
Is this the players or the coach .
Can this be coached out of them.

He demands playing dangerous balls ,to be brave etc. it is crap .

Somebody needs to get a grip.

Joe going off might have been crucial as Grimes is no captain

It was probably wise to take Allen off at that time. He is coming back from injury and keeping him on may have been risking it.

I agree with your assessment of Grimes’ captaincy.

Agreed, and maybe as I’ve said in another post to OHL, I may have been wrong and that Martin has to take some responsibility.

I’m a bit confused and bewildered at the moment tbh. Oh, and angry.

Same here mate, my head just wants to explode.

I just want to know wtf we cannot see a game out.

It's all great playing fancy football, cruising at 2 nil, taking our foot off the gas just doesn't cut it in this division, there are so many sides that the scum we have just played who will never give up.

The were 2 nil down last Saturday and came back to win 3-2, shouldn't the team know this?

Of course it was, but we play keep ball for fun normally why couldn't we do it for 2 minutes.

Sadly are arse fell off in injury time, but this conceding when in front has become a real problem

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

The moment Joe Allen went off it fell apart.
We gave the ball away constantly, they had 2 penalty shouts, hit the bar and scored 2 goals.
We couldn’t see the game out because we don’t have the quality, simple as………..

I think is responsible for their frailty.

They cannot play as he wants.

It’s that simple. Sometimes ,route 1 is best and simply cleaning lines . I’ve said enough about Martin frankly .

Allen was encouraging and should immediacy be handed the captaincy .

I would actually drop Naughton and Grimes as both are weak ,slow and too silent for experienced pros.

We looked tired for the last quarter, couldn’t keep hold of the ball and shambolic defending.

Martin can’t be blamed for this. It was down to the players who didn’t look fit enough at the end. That video will really come back to haunt us.

Martin is in charge of our physical training last year he blamed our lack of fitness of the fact he was not in charge during preseason. What is his excuse this season.

He is also in charge of our defensive set up no one else to blame.

Yep,so why does coach insist on this style of play. It isn’t fair on the players really..

Don’t forget Reading last season was worse and just a few weeks ago Oxford….

It was enjoyable game, probably one of those freak games to get 2 goals injury time. From my seat they looked like they were getting joy down their right hand side after Manning went off.

Fisher should be coming and claiming that second goal instead he gets caught no man's land ,should be taking pressure off defenders,in final minutes ,he nearly cost us before that coming racing out to edge box when no need and they hit bar..

Joe Allen goes off and we lose that bite but still no excuse....you could see the limitations again in Fulton who is simply finished with us, we need him out and a replacement who is technically decent to replace him.
For 85mins we were superb and we pulled them all over the place with our passing and the movement was superb.....finishing was off the mark and we should have scored another 2.

2-0 is a dangerous lead and when that 1st goal goes in then the panic sets in..... Its a mindset thing that needs to be managed.

Its a gutting night, we were superb for 85mins and I must agree that Fisher needs to be taking that cross for the 2nd goal.

Special mention to Joey, he was immense and brought some real bite to the team....unfortunately around 70mins his engine had emptied.

Any news on Joel L? Looked a bad one and heightens our need for a right sided defender.

Bournemouth
Reading
Oxford
Millwall

In the last 12 games.

Totally understand Joey being taken off but why mess about with the defence who performed well up until the changes.

I agree with you about Fulton who Ai have quite liked but he looks shot to pieces .
Biggest worry has to be Piroe. He is a shadow of what he was .

Manning was injured, he had a knock in the first half and couldn't go anymore.
Right back put about 2/3 late ones on in him in the 1st half.

If I was playing against Manning I’d snap him, his theatrics are an embarrassment to the club (decent finish though)

Fulton is a dogger, he has the occasional touch in him but he is technically a very poor player that is being highlighted more in a passing style.
He's shot with us for sure and I think the Joey performance tonight just highlights Fultons limitations.

Piroe seems to be linking player a lot better but seems to be way off the mark with his finishing boots.

Anothher day we would be 4-0 up there at 85mins but poor finishing has us at that dangerous 2-0 scoreline, it's not an excuse because that last 5 minutes can't be excused but the panic just kicks in from Millwall first goal, heads just go.

I personally feel it would be unfair to lay blame on tonight Martin although I could be wrong.....i think after being so dominant, conceding that 1st goal just kicks in ultra panic mode.
