The new owners, as did Gao, have stated they are not going to spend big on players, so let’s get used to it. They have spent money on kids that they hope will flourish and are then sold for a large fee. This is a huge gamble but I’m sure they MUST be aware of what relegation means to their investment!?
Gao was constantly lambasted for not buying big. How long until the new owners get the same treatment? Hopefully they don’t as that would mean they’ve uncovered some gems and we are on the way of overtaking our 9 (nine) wins in the PL last season.

This is just like the Lowe era lots of mediocre players bought cheaply. Surely it would be better to spend big on maybe 3 class players than waste the same amount on potential. l think we are in for some hidings this season.

I've never heard of him but I just did an online search and he's scored a career total of 7 goals in 34 Ligue 1 games over 2 seasons, although he's only ever played the full 90 minutes once, and is currently valued at £2.7 mill on transfermarkt.
What gives cause for hope is that 5 of his league goals were scored in his last 7 games. He's also scored 4 goals in his last 6 games for France U20s.
Let's hope our scouts have seen great potential in him and that we've got a player on the cusp of being a great striker.
I’d never heard of Tino and Broja when we brought them in so here’s hoping the new guys make the same impact. Sounds like Newcastle were sniffing around this guy hoping to pick him up for peanuts from Bordeaux but we offered decent wedge to help the club out of their financial difficulties.

Many other sides have not made many purchases. Yes, our signings (on the whole) are of young players that are unproven. It ight not work but better than going out and getting players like Hoedt, Carillo and many other flops we paid 16 million for.
