judd put me onto the case of Optimus Build Limited vs Matthew Southall which is interesting given that it was claimed in the MEN that Matthew Southall had an exclusive deal with Morton House
Southall's builder took him to court over a mass of unpaid monies that, based on records in the public domain, are still outstanding.
Interestingly, Southall's tactics throughout appear to have been to threaten and bully this poor builder into giving in, claiming that the builder has committed fraudulent representation.
You can read it for yourself but midway thorough the judge says:
"It was apparent from Mr Southall's evidence generally that he could be capable of expressing himself forcefully when crossed or contradicted and I accept her account that he did so on that occassion.
As he said at one point in cross-examination "you only get one chance with me""
You've got to feel sorry for the builder who comes across as an honest bloke doing the best for his client but that client didn't actually want to pay him in full for the work done.
George Bernard Shaw had it right:

Briscombe are telling interested buyers that there "is a problem in the chain" and are inviting counter offers for proof of funds.
If you can do that then they'll let you view it.
But interest rates are rising, banks are looking more and more at affordability and toughening up lending criteria. The number of interested buyers is dwindling all of the time.
Still, if you've £1.5m or more to offer Briscombe give them a call on 0161 793 0007.
No Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Solana or Biffocoin accepted.
"...telling interested buyers that there "is a problem in the chain"..."
This sounds like the deal to buy a football club that had gone wrong, as offered by the Captain.
This kind of sh!t just seems to follow some folk around.

Or perhaps its just a way of stalling the Bankruptcy hearing. Funds are on there way Your Honour but ‘there is a problem in the chain’ To paraphrase Ricky Tomlinson MY ARSE

£1.5m - they're having a laugh.
Sadly the builders might not get their £ back until it's sold.

After 4 years and a lot of hard graft my daughter 💙 moves out of her first house, hopefully the next one doesn’t need as much work doing 😴😴#familypic.twitter.com/UoMEU5vhYY
Now that AFC Fylde are finally done for the season, its probably worth us returning to our favourite property drama on Leigh Road, Worsley concerning "Matthew Southall and Another"
The property is sold (subject to contract) and Jade McManus moved out yesterday to a much smaller more inferior property in the local area.
Matthew Southall's future father-in-law is hoping that "the next one doesn’t need as much work doing." - probably because Matthew doesn't look like the sort of lad who would know one end of a piece of 4x2 from another.
The good news is that a raft of creditors who have charges secured on the property are likely to receive their monies from the sale which include, but are not limited to: * Together Personal Finance Limited * Academy Leasing Limited * Optimus Build Limited
Reminding ourselves that Matthew Southall doesn't have a pot to p*ss in, its interesting that a man who Alexander Jarvis claimed had bought 25% in RAFC in October 2021 described as:
Mr. Southall is acquiring his shares from Andy Curran and Darrel Rose's Morton House MGT group, whose bid to take over the club collapsed several weeks ago.
As the EFL rules say quite clearly: "any person(s) to acquire Control (as defined in Regulation 1) of the Club until such time as the information relating to source and sufficiency of funding has been provided and approved by The League."
It's all gone very quiet from Matthew in the press, which I suppose is because he knows that Charlton fans and Rochdale fans are all over his life in ways that come with owning (in the case of Charlton) or wanting to be part of the ownership of a professional football club.
I do hope Jade hasn't let Matthew have her pin number or internet banking password, seeing as she's in the process of spending quite a few quid on wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, flights and hotels for a wedding in the beautiful city of Rome on 2nd July 2022.
Matthew Southall and Jade McManus wedding is going to be the most enjoyable social event of the summer and even more special that today's trip to AFC Fylde.
Rumours that Alexander Jarvis has had his invitation withdrawn are true, simply because he cannot be trusted to keep his mouth shut.
The Southall hotel in Rome is very close to the Spanish Steps and there are many Dale fans coming to wish the happy couple "all the best".
Now all together, if you're all going Rome clap your hands:
