Now both gone.
Don gone at 84.

Harmony that was unique and never could be replicated

An integral part of growing up for me

Really sad news. The very first album I bought was an Everly compilation and I was lucky enough to have seen them play a few times.

This is the best tribute I’ve heard...

Hi Mate.

Yep,their fall out should not be their legacy but magnificent harmony and tunes, which inspired The Beatles and Paul Simon to join with Art.

Harmony in diatonic thirds done to perfection .Not easy to do.
I think Don could have made it on his own,his voice stands supreme.

I make no apologies for this.

First song I remember from my Gendros days

That’s the marker for true greats really, isn’t it? When you hear their echo in other acts that came after.

Yes, the harmony was unique, quite astonishing to hear them perform live. I saw them at the Royal Albert Hall around 1971. It was billed then as their 'Farewell Concert' I seem to remember their dad coming on stage for one of their songs. Great music by gifted musicians.

It is Loh. Clearly evident in "Love me Do".

Wifey and I very sad to read of Don's passing.
