Hull Match Thread 09:20 - Aug 14 with 29165 views | PinnerPaul | Off to granddaughter's 2nd birthday party soon, so getting in early. 3-0 to us Wallace scores first and Mrs Pinner to moan every time I check the score at the party!

Hull Match Thread on 15:52 - Aug 14 with 2264 views | Hunterhoop | Personally think we’ve been poor. Too careless with the ball. Ball has been anonymous, but Odubajo has been poor defensively. They’re targeting getting the ball wide down their left, in behind Odubajo, and trying to drag Dickie into open water. Often Odubajo has had the ball at his feet in our half and then given it away, starting another attack to attend. De Wijs’ positioning has been superb so far. Johansen doing well but looks isolated. Chair needs o get involved more, drop deeper and get on the ball.

Hull Match Thread on 15:46 - Aug 14 by TacticalR | That Lewis-Potter is a bit of a handful. |
Moncur looks decent too but we should be looking for three points from this on the first half showing.

Hull Match Thread on 15:54 - Aug 14 with 2194 views | stainrods_elbow | Good to see Willock having a loud word with himself as he left the pitch, presumably as a result of the miscue from a promising position. Good to have the lead of course, but 0-1 is precarious, and I fear 1-1 or 2-1 is virtually as likely as 0-1 or 0-2. Dieng the hooped (or rather unhooped) superhero going into half-time with that blinding tip-over. [Post edited 14 Aug 2021 15:56]

Hull Match Thread on 15:55 - Aug 14 with 2162 views | EmpireStateRanger | Can’t help but feel we’d have a second if we had Austin at our disposal. my early thoughts on Odubajo are he’s better going forward than Kakay but he may be a bit worse defensively.
Hull Match Thread on 15:59 - Aug 14 with 2037 views | traininvain | Chair looks lively every time he gets on the ball. We could be talking about another £20m+ player if he goes up another gear this season. Fancy we’ll need a second but happy with 1-0 up away against a team who’ve won 15 out of their last 23 home league games. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Sorry for being off the pace, but what's up with Charlie? Not put his shoulder out already, surely?

Agreed. Glad we now have Seny rather than Matt Ingram.

That Keane Potter keeps getting in behind Odubajo but we seem to be coping reasonably well in blocking any space for him to pick anyone out I thought Chair had a good half, been our biggest threat. Similar to Wednesday we seemed to settle for 1-0 with about 10 mins of the half left and invited them onto us which never ends well

I'm also going to guess MW wants to have him ready for Tuesday night. He was already talking about rotations because of the number of fixtures, so a light nick on Austin was probably a good chance to start.

Hull Match Thread on 16:13 - Aug 14 with 1583 views | Hunterhoop | Ball and Dykes have got to be better with ball at their feet. Giving up promising positions in their half way too easily. Chair does not look match fit or sharp. Looks to be a yard short of pace. Defending at that corner was a farce. And that one was terrible too. Seny keeping us in this. They need to wake up and concentrate.
Hull Match Thread on 16:14 - Aug 14 with 1560 views | stainrods_elbow | Wow - Seny the difference right now, what a 3 minutes! They're banging on the door, no mistake. We need to stand firm and counter-attack with some fizz.

Hull Match Thread on 16:14 - Aug 14 with 1557 views | EmpireStateRanger | Lucky not to concede. Seny with a save on a shot he knew nothing about, and then Hull gets close on a near post run off a corner.
