The atmosphere yesterday was a lot better but the Northam End really do need to get with the program, they seemed to have just discovered the son Southampton Till I Die, a ditty that was popular in the lower leagues about 15 years ago
We truly need some originals
On a Pompey theme
I think I'm going to be glad I think it's today The team that is incredibly sad is dropping away yeah It's just a sh*thole near Ryde It's just a sh*thole near Ry Hy De And we don't care

If all the away fans would keep as quiet as the Villa fans did, it would certainly help. You could actually hear the home fans in the corners of the away end yesterday and that made a difference.
You say to me I don’t spend enough but when I do I’m a fool The cash I’ve spent been wasted, out on loan wont leave you The things you say, your wage bill percentage is a give away The things you say, you’re unsustainable

I did write my own little ditty today, carrying on the ,ahem, sexual theme.....
Bit unoriginal but to the tune of “You Dirty Skate Bastards, We’re Coming For You....”
He scores with his cock He scores with his cock Shane Long He scores with his cock.
James tomorrow
Now we love Shane long Scoring goals with his cock or his tum Gotta keep praying that his luck will change Gotta keep praying he’ll score again some day Tomorrow, another shots out of range Tomorrow, missed from 3 yards again

I still don't understand why we only sing one verse of OWTS. It would last longer and sound more unique if we sang 2 or 3 verses of it. It would also get us one up on Spurs and other imitators.

I do agree with you Dirk, but we find it hard enough to sing one verse

At least it's better than Little Pompey's dirge with only 3 words. 130 should write a new song for them listing Hampshire's greatest footballers born in Surrey and Sussex. It would go on and on and on and on, and be so mind-numbingly boring that opposition players and fans would dread going to Fratton.
Fair few new songs coming through the Itchen North at the moment, the Danny Ings King of the Scummers song, the Itchen North arising, the new jack Stephens one (that apparently Jack himself loves but his missus hates).
Reckon we're in a good place to get the Djenepo/La's one going now too, plus at least the second verse of Oh When The Saints.
There's a decent group going regularly in the Itchen North, and it's got it's own culture which is different to the Northam, far more lads, far less noddy, not many replica shirts and people are willing to sing new things too.
Also been trying to replace that good awful "Pompey get battered song" with an ode to our support at Fratton in the cup and the fact we were getting lads in in two's as they didn't have tickets,
The Scummers went in two by two, hurrah, hurrah The Scummers went in two by two, hurrah, hurrah The Scummers went in two by two, the old bill didn't know what to do, And we smashed Pompey, four nil in their own backyard.
