50 years ago this weekend, 03/01/1970 we were robbed once again by absolutely shite refereeing decisions which denied us of a memorable FA Cup giant killing.
Leeds United: Sprake; Reaney, Cooper; Bremner, Charlton, Hunter; Lorimer, Clarke, Jones, Giles, Madeley. Unused Sub: Yorath.
Swansea Town: Millington; Lawrence, Gomersall; Slee, Nurse, Thomas; L. Allchurch Screen, H. Williams, Gwyther, B. Evans. Unused Sub: Rosser.
Referee: Mr D.A. Corbett (Wolverhampton).
A wonderful day out, great match (despite the result) and a brilliant trip back on the train with goalkeeper Tony Millington. 😇

A great, long, day. Obviously the result was against us but we played well considering the team they put out against us. As we’ve seen so many times since, the decisions go with the bigger clubs. If we’d had VAR that day the penalty would not have been given, and Clarke would have been sent off too. The joys of watching the Swans all these years eh. |  | | |
