"Mansford will join Simon Sadler and Brett Gerrity on the board of directors at the Club. Ian Currie, who has served on the board since February 2019, will be stepping down. Tim Fielding will also be relinquishing his role as advisor to the board."

Thanks for all your hard work TAM, now get back to the day job

TAM's efforts are much appreciated as are those of Ian Curry.

I hope they got a lot of satisfaction from the situation.

I get the feeling there will be a TAM 2.

An 'I'll be back' sort of thing.

Sadler will want fans' input. Obviously. No question.

If he wants, TAM could put himself up as a candidate, he'll be voted in by a landslide.

I assume that Sadler wants to continue with some kind of supporter involvement at boardroom / management level except now it's time to have an elected representative.

That is quite a big assumption chekks.

Icon? It's all Rio Ferdinand's fault.

Hmm, yes, I can see that and you've got me thinking.

I can't remember any Sadler statements about fan involvement and it may even be possible to say that TAM was quieter, and less visible, post takeover when compared to the CAR era.

When the ownership issue was up in the air, I wasn't keen on fans ownership / involvement on the basis that there are too many attention seekers, craving ITK status, who'll try to smarm their way "in", thereby influencing or compromising a fans' rep.

It's a shame it's like that but I feel that's the situation we have.

TAM dealt with it impeccably BTW.

He was impeccable, and didn't get nearly enough credit for it. I've penned something for the other side on the topic.

I've just read it.

I can't think of the right word but it's not an epitaph, is it?

Anyway, it's a very nice and fitting thingy, an article or piece.

Spell: if one wanted to go all Rees-Mogg, one might call it a `panegyric` or `encomium`; but I think `heartfelt tribute` probably covers it. Very apt and well deserved.

Eulogy implies you know something we don`t...

Broke my boycott of the site to read it.....

Excellent article about a person who actually does deserve all the praise he gets.
