Oh dear 2 on 12:28 - Jul 13 with 8936 views | boromat | This one I think has more legs. Allen and Cannon have been sold recently maybe it's Camps time. Think it would be a huge blow personally I think we're already short in central midfield.

Oh dear 2 on 12:29 - Jul 13 with 8914 views | Shun | This one I actually can see having legs. Despite his performances having stagnated a bit over the past couple of years he still has a good reputation among League One clubs, and apart from Matheson and Henderson is probably our most marketable player. Having said that he’s never truly unlocked his potential and so I can see us getting shafted once again for the price! And unlike Henderson he’s never really been a fan favourite. It might just be me but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile on a football pitch.

More legs than what? Salford have made an enquiry about Henderson and have been told to sling it. Peterborough (and another club) are now testing our resolve over Camps.

Oh dear 2 on 12:30 - Jul 13 with 8916 views | macro | I don’t think this would be received badly IF the squad is reinforced by any monies in. I still hope that there are more recruitments. If there is any truth in this then the. money must go back into reinforcing the squad. Along with some of the Dawson money - even if that appears in instalments

Should imagine Salford won't just give up on Hendo it's still relatively early in the window but I doubt he'll go. On the other hand I could see us selling Camps to Peterborough. Also I wonder how much the 350k sale of an England youth international has raised the level of interest in our players. A lot of clubs now probably looking at us for a few bargains. What would be good about a sale to Peterborough is that they have a good record of selling players for big money and if we got a cut it could become a great deal for us.

Oh dear 2 on 12:41 - Jul 13 with 8840 views | electricblue | Peterborough and Salford chasing Dale players is this because Dale had a poor couple of seasons and they may have heard that the wages budget as been cut this season so they circle like sharks picking and choosing. We know Dale are a selling club as the books need balancing year on year its how the club operates and survives. After losing Adshead to what seems a paltry rumoured fee and now Salford and Peterborough come sniffing..... Ok we all know that players have a cash in value etc but the board need so show some reslove in approaches and laugh at them.... Does camps need to move on to reach his potential ! What do you all think is an acceptable fee plus addons! For me its 500k plus the usual... Nothing less.....

Oh dear 2 on 12:42 - Jul 13 with 8818 views | Shun | Just had a perusal of the Posh board and Twitter, a few seem to want this to happen. I had to laugh at one comment though that says we aren’t exactly a club known for playing it through midfield. Perhaps not in the past two relegation struggles but before that we’ve had a reputation for being one of the best footballing sides in the league, and this comment comes from a side managed by... Darren Ferguson, enemy of football.

Shouldn’t we be contacting the EFL ? If we were Portsmouth or Millwall I’m sure the EFL wouldn’t let these naughty clubs try and buy or players on the cheap ! 😂

Oh dear 2 on 13:10 - Jul 13 with 8692 views | jonahwhereru | Would Camps want to go. BMM made him managers player of the year last season. So the message has gone out he is valued by the management. On the other hand a section of supports have been vocal about how poor he has been. He is far from loved by some fans. I would expect the managers view to win out over the view of some fans. Me I have always had time for Camps but he would benefit from hard knocking midfielder along side him. I hope he would not have his head turned. We can’t easily attract players with Camps CV.

If BBM can improve Camps in the way we'd all have liked to see happen after his initial breakthrough into the team, then great (Edit: there were signs of that happening at the back end of the season) If not, any reasonable offer should be accepted and the wage utilised elsewhere [Post edited 13 Jul 2019 13:26]

True. Tbh I've seen too many of his free-kicks go awry in recent years and getting caught in possession which for me has been disappointing. He's clocked-up 'a lot' of games for the Dale & probably has stagnated - cripes what would this be, his 7th/8th season and still early 20s; if he doesn't make a move, will he ever? I worry about the Hill pay-off still & monies we paid out on contracts. Is this 'partly' behind all these 'possible' changes and sloooowwww intakes AND a youth-teamer allegedly turning us down. The next and subsequent set of accounts will make for a very interesting reading. On the plus side these changes could be the beginning of something very new and perhaps better - if we're all honest we've been treading water for a couple of seasons now and made a couple of "Great Escapes". Time to really blood some of these youngsters - they just might be the very future we've been looking for.

Can you get a refund on your season ticket if Hendo and Camps go , both established Lg1 players the board have a lot to do in a few weeks to keep the fans happy !

More hated than loved apparently! Be careful what you wish for.... all those critics of Camps for his failure to 'put it about' may live to rue those comments. Seems the only people who don't appreciate him are Dale fans on here.

Hated? Loved? Calm down, we're talking about average young footballers, the rhetoric is inappropriate No-one's mentioned Camps not 'putting it about' (apart from a MacDonalds) It's pretty much a case of him not playing to his obvious potential, which he showed in the home tie against Spurs last year. Maybe you should have a word with him? Seems BBM already has, so let's see what happens if he starts the season with us

I think the issue some have is that he has not kicked on. I don't think his serious illness or playing in a more defensive role has helped. Many who sit near me also derided his preference for an extravagant, rather than a simple pass, which then he messes up. Personally I think he is a talented player who could play at a better standard. I don't think he has developed as I thought her would, but you could say that for many a player under Hill's last two seasons. Under BBM we started to see glimpses, although I still feel he would be better playing with a more defensive midfield player.

Just looked at my season ticket. It appears to be a ticket to watch Rochdale AFC, not named players.
