got a text for someone on the weekend that was at the Club shop on the weekend, that said there were kids and parents buying shirts with Siggy on the back, and the staff were saying it's likely he'll leave in the window and there were no refunds! there were tears, apparently!

Probably just covering their arses if he goes, but, not what you want to hear!

Can't see the staff in the club shop being anymore knowledgable regarding a player's future whereabouts than the rest of us.

Not to say he won't go of course, just that you can't take anything from that comment.

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Everton have reportedly been after Gylfi all year. If that's true and they are swimming in cash, why wouldn't they have signed him up already and get him training with his new teammates?

He has probably been reading his local rags who have been saying it's not a matter of if but when they get siggy

Imo it's all down to when they sell lukaku and when they do we will have to hold out to get as much as possible as they will have a sh!tload of dosh to play with

And there's a small matter of if siggy wants to go

Leon will have loads of spare shirts knocking around if he needs one half way through the game.

No offence and I'm not questioning your honesty here but that story gets trotted out during every preseason new kit sale.

Yeh, that's true. Think of it, Jenkins or PC aren't saying that Siggy is going, in fact hinting at the opposite, then the oik in the Club Shop says, sorry he's leaving so no refunds!!........................He may well leave but that story is utter bollocks!

Yep, and if Leon retires in the short term you can always hope they sign someone call Noel and move the letters about.

Siggy is 4/9 to join Everton by the end of the transfer market

I have been told that Gylfi is a perfectionist on and off the pitch and very careful about his fitness and diet.
Also that he would like to play for a team pushing for or in Europe.

4 out of 9 ? Better than a 50-50 chance of him staying ? Belter

Everton fan on talkSPORT on 13:34 - Jul 4 with 4680 viewsGlyn1

There was an article in this week's Sunday Times about the explosive rise in transfer fees this season. Gylfi was mentioned by them as a player who would be allowed to leave for £40 million, and that figure was not putting clubs off. Leicester was mentioned as still being interested in Gylfi at that price.

The likelihood of keeping him must be falling below 50/50.

Poll: Who should be our next manager? Please name them.

Nah. 4 out of 9 against him joining Everton. Then add in the chances of him joining another club which takes it above the 50/50 mark.

Don't completely discount the imminent signing of Mesa, in terms of the effect it could have on Siggy's decision making. From the Squawka piece on Roque:

For Swansea, Gylfi Sigurdsson is probably rubbing his hands together in delight at getting to play with a midfielder as supreme as Mesa. The Icelan international created 72 chances in the Premier League and can expect that number to jump now the moustachioed maestro is on the scene.

Also don't count out us relying on raising funds to reshape the squad starting with Mesa. I didn't think it was us dragging our feet, but if these two transfers go through at the same time I may revise my view.

Get what you are saying though, Mesa looks like a dream team mate for an attacking midfielder.

Not sure, but read this on Sky:

"SIGURDSSON BACK TO SPURS?
There's news of a very interesting market move from Sky Bet.
Gylfi Sigurdsson has been cut from 22/1 at the start of the day to 5/4 to return to Tottenham.
Everton are favourite to sign the Iceland international at 4/5 and he can be backed at 7/1 to remain with Swansea."
