Get the impression Clark has only kept his job because he knows how much is wrong at the club and he's being asked to do a total rebuild. However, KO will know without a good start that there is no way he'll ever win the wavering few hundreds back (and I reckon we are talking hundreds as opposed to thousands) and does make me wonder how long he'll get.
For me, 3 wins from 6 games in August should be the minimum he has to achieve or I'd show him a door that he should have already been pushed through.
How long will Clark get next season on 08:34 - Apr 26 by stu
Lets judge him when we see what he's allowed to bring in over the summer.
Clark has so many problems
1. The Chairman and his attitude on wages, contracts and agents 2. Who will come to Bloomfield Road after this season? 3. He needs one or two good signings for others to follow - Orlandi and Cubero is only scratching the surface 4. We're back at League One level - the best want top two divisions 5. His reputation and how long he'll hang on if we don't start well
It's a chicken and egg situation and I don't envy him one bit
This will be an interesting test of Clark and whether he is Oyston's yes man or not. If he hasn't got at least half his squad in place by the end of the month then I'd say he has to look at his position because he must know that if he doesn't hit the ground running in August he's a dead man walking.
