Ok so you're the boss Saturday how would you line us up given suspensions and injuries? My concern is the bench is similar to the starting 11 and nothing to change up the style or play if it isn't going our way. Anyway I would go with the below

Green
Hughes Onouha Dunne Troure
Henry Jenas
Hoilett Morrison (if signs) Johnson
Doyle
Bench: Keane, Maiga, O'neil, Ehmer, Hogan, Hill, Murphy

Green

Ehmer - Dunne - Onouha - Hill

Henry - Jenas

Hoilett - Morrison - Traore

Doyle

Carroll and O'Neill offer absolutely nothing - Jenas isn't much better but occasionally he has a good game, so i'll go for a change up.

A gamble on Ehmer purely because we need Onouha in the centre and have no other options.

No BAE or Krancjar as they have been woeful and maybe dropping them will shake them into life a bit?

Playing Hill at LB is asking for trouble IMO.

jam jar needs a few weeks out to shape up.or go.
onuhra to tackle/graft/close down/press and give the ball to the four in front of him.

o niel ,energy at right back(at least he runs all day and might help hoilett out ie , crossing the halfway line.

hughes as center back solid/dependable ,dour, a right back he aint, drop dunne

with out a doubt nedum is the major player in this line up.

Closest to what I would do...
0
Team for Charlton on 08:47 - Feb 20 with 1232 viewsHunterhoop

Green
Ehmer Onouha Hill BAE
O'Neill Henry
Hoilett Kranjcar Traore
Keane

Morrison on for Niko on the hour. Doyle as back up for Keane.

O'Neill has been poor but he keeps being played wide right. He is woeful wide right. I actually like him in CM. Away at Reading I thought he was excellent there. Then, with those 4 attacking players, I feel we need a bit of basic grunt in there. Henry fits the bill better than Carroll or Jenas. He just needs to do exactly the same role as Derry.

Anyone notice this is the same shape and approach as our promotion season...Even after all the changes it's what the squad is most suited to, IMO.

Can Ehmer play right back, Hunter?

Well, to be fair, having watched Nedum Onuoha try and fail on countless occasions at right full back because his distribution and passing is questionable you now want to move him into a midfield role so let's not be too quick to slate others for not learning lessons eh?

i meant 'h' not york ranger,

do.not.want.to.see.
jam jar, jeanas in the same side..imho 2 passengers.

as for dunne/hill combo at the back? think one needs a rest.therefore hughes.

nedums, no right back, i agree. crossing no, overlapping no. tell you what though.... he's distribution from a center back role wasnt to shabby earlier in the season was it?

strong athletic , good tackler and most importantly mobile!!

all the qualities to break play up and lay it off.nothing beyond the capabilities of a pro footballer i wouldnt have thought.

innovation is a dirty word on lfw.eh !

Your probably right .He'll drop Traore who was our best player last match and had a good game before he was inexplicably dropped(shades of Ale and Adel)..
But I recon he'l go one worse and play Bennyoon in his place ..

Innovation is fine. Playing a centre-half in midfield with a squad of about 12 midfielders is fckwittery of the highest order.

thanks!!! we do have about 56 midfielders at the club , unforunately there shit or
require an enema every morning. (old age you see , and their bowels clogged up with too much pre mtach steak ,chips and milk. 'h' innovating pre match 1970's shoot magazine diet)

fukwittery, isnt that a word that 13 year old girls use on twitter/face book .or perhaps something from a bridgette jones film "fkty fkty fukwittery , bridgett!"

Disco my friend .Ned has to play but in his natural role . It would be a miracle if H realises this and plays him at CB let alone any innovation ..

i know, i was gripped by a madness hither to not known since aunt nellys/qpriswitcity's last political press release on lfw.

i did tinker with the idea of playing swp, but came to my senses before i posted.

is jimmy case still alive, could he not play this role?. it quite apparent karl henry cannot.

oh i will, thank you.

im sure the bold arthur daley has it all in hand.

yossi, jeans, henry ,o'niel, jamjar have all been quite magnificent in midfield this season.

how remiss of me to suggest another option without harnessing the undoubted qualities of the above or spending another £50,000 a month on more loans.

cant blame a man for trying.

i remember my hero, gerry francis trying something off the cuff,as it were,
with a non league center back ,stuart wardley, to some degree of success.

but h' isnt gerry , and gerry certainly aint 'h'.

looks like me and loft79 are in the minority.
