Apologies to everyone else reading this .
I wouldn’t normally continue with such playground nonsense but I’ve just had enough of this person now .
With every point raised, this a fair one about Paal being pretty decent Friday , there a snipe or swipe at someone and this one is not acceptable to me .
Crying wolf for attention is the ultimate narcissist and they are ruining a message board that really is a great mix of full and rich opinions usually discussed and argued in an adult and sensible manner.
Emotions can boil over occasionally of course but this board has given me so much info and insight over the years.

Great report for a great evening all in all.
I got pelters on here from certain quarters because I criticised Madsen and Ashby after the Hull victory (others did too but strangely nothing was said to them 🤔) but that was very different . Those 2 very nearly cost us that victory that evening (not deliberately of course).
Friday was encouraging , exciting at times and very much improved .
A thoroughly enjoyable evening out. |

Great watch .
I was stood outside LR a couple hours before kick off waiting for the family and a Korean ‘fan’ came up and starting chatting . Lovely fellow.
Was on holiday in London and got a ticket to his first ever game .
Had been in the club shop and spent a fair bit .
As my family turned up he started introducing himself and chatting like we had been mates for decades. 🤣🤣
I tried to ask him about the Korean fascination for following individuals rather than teams but the language barrier on that one proved a step too far. He talked to me about Park and more surprisingly Young Suk Yung he knew a lot about .
Anyway , very nice bloke . I wonder if he is doing part of the video clip ? |

Don’t always see eye to eye Ned but I couldn’t agree more .
This is total baseless b*locks and only necessary if you want some attention, as we know who started this nonsense initially earlier in the thread .
I’ve criticised Paal a fair bit since he’s been here . He’s had good games and bad games but overall I think he struggles physically and teams target him. Not a terrible player but someone who will be gone in the summer.
Whether you agree or not is one thing and of course lots of people won’t but to suggest that there is an ‘undercurrent’ in mine or anyone else’s opinion on here is a pathetic and disgraceful accusation .
As you quite rightly say Ned, what about the criticism of Field, Dunne, Smyth, Cook, Chair, Frey, Madsen, Saito, Celar, Santos, for example that I’ve read on here relatively recently ?
That’s ok but criticism of Paal is from a place of some sort of discrimination.

Watching those two in central midfield kicking the ball directly into touch from a 10yd pass is doing my head in.
We did do that about 3 or 4 times in the first 20 mins in fairness .
But 1 was Frey and 1 was Chair so not sure about singling out the midfield 2 but we do need to retain the ball better in midfield, no doubt about that . |

Absolutely spot on.
Wilkins had made some really good posts regarding different things .
I agreed with them that at some point in the future (I said not yet) that MC would have decision to make regarding Field and his quality on the ball. And down the line we would have to improve in areas . I disagree in regards to Jimmy. I think he is more than good enough to be in a team at the top end .
But we all know the financial situation and it’s all relevant . To be expecting scintillating thrilling incredible football is just a bit unrealistic where we were earlier in the season.
Last night just seemed grumpy for grumpy’s sake by a few and the usual attention seeking ‘everybody listen to me’ by we all know who . Back on mute.
Lat night was joyous fun and I’ll say it again … if you don’t enjoy winning 4-0, bossing most of the game …ole’s…oh Bobby Zamora etc ….then you must be looking for other things that you aint going to get right now . |

Fantastic OP.
Agree with all of it and some of the posts following .
Can’t get too carried away as Derby’s heads went once they went 1-0 down.
But still buzzing this morning .
There were 2 or 3, 1 touch passing moves last night that shows that we are starting to believe in ourselves more . We are growing as a side . Players like Koki, Yang, Frey and even Varane want to move the ball quicker and even Ilias is doing it more . Doesn’t always work but it’s not going to .
There will be defeats and upsets in the weeks ahead but I think most of us can see progression and improvements in most areas of our play .
Talking of Ilias , every week his work rate and graft for the team becomes more and prevalent .
He puts in some yardage now just like Smyth does .
Lose next week and of course I’ll be complaining that Paal is the week link and Field isn’t quite good enough for what we want , fully aware that I can be as fickle as anybody .
But for now I’m just starting to feel like we are getting somewhere as a football team .
And after the last 2 years and more, that’s a great feeling . |
