No need to panic, it seems we've just bought a new 18 year old CB, Joachim Kayi Sanda!
Anyone know anything?

You could argue that when Marcus bought us back in 2009 (or thereabouts?) for a song and look at what happened then. He brought that feelgood factor in to the club which is definitely what's needed right now, and I wonder what might have happened if he hadn't passed when he unfortunately did

As Pat has said above, there could be another Marcus waiting in the wings with a few spare quid ready to jump in?

Ok, it could take a couple of years but we do genuinely have the infrastructure and fans to be a worthwhile aquisition

We're thinking of inviting the brother and sister-in-law round for an afternoon of doom and gloom to listen about all of their ailments ........

Well let's hope Jury's Out can bring that decent player in him out then. I know he was certainly thought of as a decent player in the making

Mane will really only be remembered down here for the "fastest ever" (still is?) hattrick against Villa but he was always going to move on. Did well in Scouse land but not so much it seems in Munich
As for Ballard, as I said in apost couple of days ago, not so good at Blackpool and can't really see him hitting it down here although I recall a lot were saying why send him out on loan when he could have the potential to do well for us. Anyway, time will tell and we are pretty desperate

Nick, I'm hoping that last comment was tongue in cheek!
Or have you been watching (and hate to say this) Bournemouth!

What's better? A yo-yo club or mid-table Championship?
at 16:32 6 Jan 2025

Definitely. This season hasn't been a battle, we've had a few of those in the past, this season has been a white flag capitulation without even firing one bullet and we're only just half way through. God knows what is left between now and May

Talking of sanitised customer experience. I've just looked at "The Dell" as an example of that. £25 for a meal and a drink. The "menu" - Sausage and mash, Fish and chips, or a Dell burger! Oh, and add 12.5% service charge if 4 of you.

Ok, pitch side view and obviously you have to buy your own ticket (although is that the Premium £60+ or go and sit in the cheap seats I'm not so sure. but does that really sound inviting? Mayby for a few local companies taking clients out so tax refundable somewhere along the line no doubt, but for your average Joe supporter?

Does it not need someone with a bit of savvy to do one of those "formal open letters" to the club via the Echo (downside is who reads the Echo nowadays) to explain the fans total frustration etc at the way the club is run from top to bottom etc and for SR to do the decent thing?

The humiliation of Adam Armstrong by Southampton Football Club
at 13:33 5 Jan 2025

Couldn't agree more Pat. He clearly didn't want to be there and that face of his also shows his embarrassment following an absolute diabolical performance by the team
The only decent spell we had yesterday was that 5 minutes when the 2 lumps we started up front with were taken off for him and Archer until Brentford then got there next goal

But his agents will push him to go for their own obvious reasons
But I agree with you that he would benefit more by staying and could actually shine in tbe Championship rather that get a few sub appearances if that by moving

It's not football that's depressing, it's watching Saints that is depressing ..... but don't think I'll be watching the highlights later!
Just can't wait for the papers tomorrow to for some reason will think that we're going down with the worse ever points tally which based on performances will be thoroughly deserved
