The best thing about football is the bit where you’re not watching football.
The pre-match meet-up in the pub is all I go to football for.
I get zero enjoyment from the game itself.
I keep telling myself that next season will be better.
We shall see. |

I fear this would be why Southgate hardly picked his best player in the Euros.
Instead we had to endure Alexander-Arnold in midfield in games.

A good friend of mine saw Sulemana, Onuachu, Bella-Kotchap and Aribo on a London-bound train after the game, travelling apart from the rest of the squad.
Does this speak volumes for a lack of unity in the squad?
Or just a sign of the times of how players are nowadays?
I don’t personally approve of this sort of thing going on. |

Blackmore has to be careful.
If he is too critical of the Club, they will ban him.
I think he’s a very good broadcaster, probably the best Solent Sport have ever had. But I am sceptical when he gets optimistic at times. [Post edited 9 Mar 10:49]

He has so much ability.
But he seems to me to need a certain type of manager to get the best out of him.
Brent wasn’t, and neither is Juric.
IIr will pain us to watch him flourish in the Prem with another club next season.
We just need to get the best price we can for him.
And spend it wisely for once. |
