Luke Williams is set to fly out to the Netherlands this weekend as the club assesses alternatives to Wycombe Wanderers star Joe Low. It's understood Williams is set to cast an eye over two possible centre-back options, with the club seemingly no closer to a breakthrough in negotiations for Low, who had previously emerged as Swansea City's top target this January. |

Surely all of this should have been done before the January transfer window opened? Wtf have our scouts been doing between the summer and December? |

Exactly, all of that should have been done before the transfer window opened. We should have a list of players ready to bid for. Wtf have we been doing from the summer until January? The whole recruitment process seems chaotic. If Low is unavailable we should be ready to bid for the next target. We are wasting so much time. Before the transfer window opened he told us we had a list of transfer targets. |

Swansea City transfer bulletin as club consider player swap in bid to land Joe Low deal Swansea City are considering a player swap in order to tempt Wycombe Wanderers into sanctioning an exit for top target Joe Low. The centre-back is at the top of Swansea's January wishlist, and has already been the subject of two bids in recent weeks. However, the Swans have not yet been able to find a breakthrough in negotiations. Source: WOL [Post edited 15 Jan 13:31]

I hope we have a backup plan in-case the Joe Low transfer falls through. |

"Harry Darling has been here trying to get ready for the game, he travelled on the coach for four hours," Williams told BBC Radio Wales Sport. "He's a doubt for the derby because he is injured. I was trying to get him ready for this game. "We did everything to get Harry Darling fit. Ben Cabango is still having treatment" If he was injured then why did he travel? |

He was offered twice by the media to deny his interest in WBA which he refused. |

"There's a growing feeling inside Swansea that Williams will now stay at the club, although some sections of the club's hierarchy are believed to be a little concerned at the head coach's handling of the saga." "As too are supporters, many of whom have been disappointed by Williams' failure to publicly commit to the club and put the speculation to bed." https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/luke-williams-holds-t [Post edited 3 Jan 9:59]

I have read a few posts on here saying the new owners wanted a new manager before the speculation with WBA started. Is there any truth in this? |

Well, he didn't deny his interest when asked about the vacancy. In fact, he was encouraging WBA to contact him. |
