A mist opportunity as Foxes hit QPR for six – Report
at 09:24 13 Jan 2025

Saito was my MotM against Coventry when he came on to replace Paal in the first 10mins. A wing-back masterclass.

Since then, his lack of physicality is being exposed - which in turn exposes the fullback behind him. Away to Watford, Baah basically runs over him several times; Baah's a big lad though so no shame and we had to sub Paal for Fox if I remember to deal with it.

The Ashby penalty yesterday is partly on him for me - he lets El Cahones stroll past him, pitty-pats him in the back a few times and then gives up. That's Ashby two on one with Leicester's two best players and it was always going to end in tears. Chair or Smyth are no bigger than Saito but I can't see either giving up as easily and both (particularly Smyth) having a nibble from behind and taking the foul/yellow card).

I like Saito but at the moment he's an ineffective combination of too small and too nice.

£105k prize money from winning the 3rd round, £110k live broadcast fee for the 4th round and the 45% share of the gate at Old Trafford (£1-1.5m?).

For a club running as close to FFP as we are, I'd consider that a plus point

If it was "go out there and try to avoid getting injured" then we already had Madsen doing that for 70 minutes.

If you think I want us to lose to Plymouth to be "proven right" on a fans forum then I think you need a bit of perspective.

And if I was being petantic I could just as easily say between 7th and 17th January we play 1 game, a game every 10 days.

Morgan is being overplayed because the player who we spent money to bring in over the summer to play there isn't fit for purpose - which he proved again yesterday. That's on our shìt recruitment, not the FA cup.

Year after year some win the week after, some don't - QPR consistently don't. Even Warburton did it with a side I thought could have sneaked to a play-off final (and lost the following league match).

Maybe fair if you're playing Wednesday/Saturday/Tuesday but it rarely is. I'll be delighted to look like a bed-wetting twàt if we beat Plymouth comfortably next week but for all Marti's talk about changing mindsets, we're more prone to spin off into another 6 game losing streak than race up the table.

Every manager we've had in the last 30yrs has made wholesale changes to the 3rd round starting 11 to rest first teamers/give squad players minutes/focus on the league and every manager we've had in the last 30yrs has looked an utter cùnt when we lose the subsequent league game.

I initially read that as the "Danny Rampling goat race tent" which sounds much more fun.

Nonsense. Show me a misplaced pass from Ray Wilkins sir, and I shall show you an incorrectly placed player, damn your eyes!

- Ray Wilkins completed passes he hadn't even played.
- Most players pass in 3 dimensions apart from Ray Wilkins, who could also pass through time.
- The official ID document currently known as the "Passport" will eventually be renamed the "Rayport" once international governments have found the money.
- It's a popular misconception that the first atom was split by Cockroft and Walton at Cambridge University. The truth is it was split by a through ball from Ray Wilkins to Les Ferdinand in a cup game away to Cambridge.
- International standards for weights are based on one of two accuracy criteria: the Kibble balance or the weight of a Ray Wilkins pass.

Nice we're trying something different to mix it up a bit but you can look a bit of a tìt unless everyone is switched on.

There was a Foolham fan called Ormondroyd who used to write stick-man cartoon match reports for the Guardian about 20 years ago and he captured one of our not so good efforts for posterity...

I think we'll end up writing him off but I'll give him credit for putting the yards in for the Norwich win at home. Pressed and chased down enough to stop them getting comfortable at the back and was on the end of a pretty cùnty challenge that looked a thick yellow to me.

Didn't someone on here return the ball to David Luiz from the Paddock "with interest" during the 1-0 win?

That's some amount of shìt as from what I could tell, Morris spent the entire 90 minutes honking. It amazed me he was able to get sufficient oxygen on board for cardio around the bleating - moaning about the ball, the pitch, our players, his players, the ref, the ambient temperature, the disenfranchisement of the Chagossians. He didn't fùcking stop. All the better for us as there's a handy striker in amongst the whinging.

I actually groaned when he put that cross in - high, floaty, no real pace there - I'd expect a keeper to come and claim that pretty easily. Still, Kaminski didn't and Frey dominated the full-back and provided a superb finish. Any cross that results in a goal is a good cross.

Your best and worst ever QPR moment witnessed as a fan and as an armchair fan !!
at 23:12 5 Jan 2025

Best live: Furlong's goal in the play off semi v Oldham. The cool football kids would call it "limbs" these days but it was so much more than that, almost orgasmic in intensity. Top of SAR that day and literally hit the roof.

Best moment: Actually not even a game but the promotion parade around the bush when we came up the season after. Managed to gib into the reception at the town hall through a kitchen window so a perfect end to a perfect day. Ollie was slaughtered.

Worst live: Hard to look past the 6-1 at Scumford Bridge. 1 down in under 30secs, 4 down after 25mins, FullKitWànker scoring and Torres getting a hat-trick. Only Cisse getting the consolation has allowed me to keep rubbing 1986 in their fùcking drooling mongoloid faces. Honourable mention to the 6-0 at Foolham - ruined a great day drinking in the sun by the river and binned it at half-time. The Andy Johnson who got the hat-trick cannot be the Andy Johnson we signed and no-one can tell me different.

Worst moment: Again, not a game, but the tragic, tragic deaths of Ray Jones followed by Kiyan Prince shortly after really had me wondering what the point of it all was. I didn't know either but it felt each time like a friend had died.

Might have mentioned it, but I can't stand them. Even the one time I thought they'd done us a favour - paying £2m for Paul Parker - was tainted by Man City paying an extra £500k for Keith Curle.
