You're right about one thing - I don't agree with it. It's not a valid point of view, it's a divisive theory that sets one rule for one and another for others. It empowers some to be racist with impunity whilst calling out others for the same behaviour. All that achieves is resentment which in turn breeds more prejudice. There is no such thing as white privilege. I find the term itself deeply racist and offensive (and I'm not white). For someone as privileged as Sam Kerr to jump on that bandwagon is both cheap and shameless. It's also lost on her that her partner is white and was being treated at the same police station, by the same officers, for the same offence in the same way. Being white, I wonder what she made of Kerr's comments? The bottom line is racism is racism, whichever way you want to cut it. It should all be stamped out. [Post edited 6 Feb 23:57]

Cracking stuff. Goodness me how that part of London has changed (and not for the better). |

"Even if he looked like Tarzan, he'd still play like Jane." Love that. Whether the issue is physical or mental, you have to earn the right to play in the Championship. Simply having a good eye for a pass isn't enough. Never was this more apparent than in the Blackburn game. |

Whatever his reasons, it reminded me somewhat of our recent game at Hull where Marti lost momentum with his first set of subs. The difference there was we were leading 2-0 and after Hull scored Marti restored order with his next set of subs. |

Under normal circumstances I'd be slightly concerned about Cantwell's appearance as on his day he's a quality player. However, as you say this particular game was a scrap and Cantwell was well out of his comfort zone. Colback, on the other hand, is built for this. |

Excellent comic actor and, by all accounts, a genuinely nice guy. Obviously best known for the 70s and 80s sitcoms but also enjoyed something of a renaissance on Last of The Summer Wine and The Catherine Tate Show. RIP. |

The subs were a big factor on both sides. I thought Eustace's changes actually lost Blackburn momentum that they'd built at the beginning of the second half. Marti's changes then swung the momentum back in QPR's favour. The 2 in midfield had worked very hard in the face of physical, aggressive opponents but were tiring. Colback was tailor made for such a match and made a big difference when he came on. Not just in terms if his goal but wrestling back control of the midfield and helping to see out the game fairly comfortably. |

Yes, that's how I saw it too. From all other angles it looked a blatant foul but there was one particular angle that appeared to show the defender winning the ball cleanly. Kudos to the ref for spotting that. The handball was less obvious but, to be honest, had it been the other way around, I'd be fuming if it wasn't given. I thought the ref had a mixed performance. The first Saito challenge, Travis steps on Koki's foot then dives. The second Saito challenge, Koki was second to the ball and it was a penalty. However, moments later I thought Dunne deserved a penalty. The Blackburn defender was pulling Jimmy's shirt so hard that the collar almost reached his elbow. I can't help but think that the ref then even things out with the potential Lloyd handball. In general, I thought he was too lenient, allowing a few yellow card offences to go unpunished. This gave Blackburn licence to be very aggressive. We tend to struggle in such games which it made it all the more pleasing to eventually come out on top. [Post edited 5 Feb 10:53]

Jimmy Dunne. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world’s first bionic man… Jimmy Dunne will be that man. We can make him better than he was before. Better… Stronger… Faster. |

Rumour has it that the length of contract to be offered will be correlated to the number of pages this thread reaches. EDIT: Ooops, that's taken it to 30! [Post edited 4 Feb 15:24]

Unless the groin strain is genuine or the club decides to play it out to save face. |
