Any good bands seen recently that people would recommend to go and see, local or any other bands?
Level 42 seen last year and they well exceeded my lower expectations, highly recommend.
Saw Joe Kelly & The Royal Pharmacy at the Brecon Jazz festival, not really jazz but enjoyed them live. Blues/ Country rock didn't know anything about them.

Markey Ramone.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Did catch a nod to punk in previous posts, did go and see The Buzzcocks in The Top Rank Swansea and Toyah and Sham 69 in Cardiff in a venue on the corner of the castle at the end of Queen St, The BirdCage maybe the name escapes me, venue was downstairs.

Next time Reef are in this neck of the woods, I would recommend that people go and see them.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Did you get to see them at the Neath Round Table event in Neath earlier this month? Was contemplating going but other things got in the way, Covid.

I did. They were excellent.

Saw The Feeling a couple of years back at the same event and they were really good as well. Wizard have played the Friday night, another enjoyable evening.

Went to see Newton Faulkner at the Patti in the week. Wasn't expecting much. I liked his first album but hadn't heard much of his stuff since. What a show though. Superb live performer.

The PA packed in temporarily just as he started doing one of his bigger hits, so he came to the front of the stage and started playing acoustically. After about a verse the crowd just took over from him and he just played along with a big cheesy grin on his face.

I just don't understand how Newton Faulkner is relatively unknown, but a less talented fellow ginger guitar looping artist is has managed to sell out Wembley and headline Glastonbury.

There's no accounting for taste.

I don't mind Sheeran though, or at least I don't loathe him like a lot of people do.
