Rip Larry Lloyd. Giant Forest centre back dead at 75. Great servant when they won European cups.

Class act, proper defender.
Today’s strikers would need a nappy if they came up against him today.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

He was Toshack's choice to replace him down the Vetch - if Tosh had left for Liverpool in 1982.

RIP

Famous Brian Clough quote ' I saw Larry Lloyd have his first and last cap for England '. I believe it was against Wales when we won 4 -1 at the Racecourse. RIP big man!

Yet another sad day for Football, great player for Forest and formerly for Liverpool.

Had he been ill? 75 seems young these days.

He did put a lot of weight on in later years so probably had something to do with it.

I was thinking the other day a lot of footballers tend to go early.

Do they, I haven't really noticed to be honest, just when I heard that he was 75 I thought it was young this day and age, but loads of people pass away much younger.

He sold all his medals and caps for £12K many years ago to open a bar in Fuengirola.

Good old fashioned footballer , strong but never cynical or dirty player . VAR today would have put his attitude and approach with a straight review and red card , off you go .

Brian Clough was a one off , never got the England gig , an accident waiting to happen .

Appreciate football is an entertainment now , driven by viewing figures and megabucks .

Trevor Francis , Ciough paid a million for him , never been known before .

Always look at Larry Lloyd as Forest first .
Another player from my growing up time has left us . RIP .
