Ah, to be sure, the biggest manipulating irish filibuster of all time Uncle Barry wants a competitor's best wing to quit. What a surprise. He'll never forgive Gatland for rightly leaving out poor old Brian from the Lions team.

Actually I think he's right this time though. North should pack it in.

On a related point I wouldn't be letting my son play rugby these days. It's gone stupid. 16 stone roided backs running at each other with no protection. There'll be a lot of brain damage, never mind that they won't be able to walk when they are 50.

A number of sports / entertainment productions are taking concussions very seriously now the true extent of their effects in later life have been discovered.

The NFL has had to pay out ~$1billion to former players who suffered concussions but were not advised of the dangers.

The WWE (a wrestling company) is also in the middle of a large lawsuit over concussions.

Rugby will no doubt be in the same situation very soon.

If my memory serves me right llanelii Scarlets used to play London Welsh at home on Boxing Day most years.


London welsh used to do a mini tour of south wales over Xmas. They always played swansea as well.

The logic being that all the welsh PE teachers working in London would be visiting mam and dad over the,festive period.
