For what it's worth (a bag of stale crisps and a bottle of flat Lucozade) I get the impression that we have too many players attempting to play the same few positions. Andersen, Dembélé, Madsen, and Lloyd, though different styles, each take up the same attacking midfield spaces, with Saito and Smyth cutting in from the wings. When Chair returns he'll be in there too. Some confusion should be expected, at least in the short term. As I keep saying, ten league games before we wheel out Mme Guillotine I reckon. |

For many of us overseas fans, 12:30pm Kick offs are unfeasible to watch live. Unless they're picked up by a secondary supplier (DaZN here in Canada.) QPR+ screens most games live, but the full replay isn't available until 48 hours later as old news. Unless this changes — which I doubt — I'll cancel my season subscription to QPR+, it just won't be worth it. Instead I'll buy the games that remain available on a match-by-match basis only. |

Excellent. I absolutely agree with Clive's assessment of how the ref handled the scrimmage. There's a point where it's just better to put the whistle away. It reminded me of play-off ice-hockey, where the officials tend to let the boys sort it out themselves... at least until there's some claret on the ice. [Post edited 16 Sep 3:20]

This interview is lovely. Not 'cos Alfie's QPR, in these cynical times it's just wonderful to see a young man bubbling over with joy over what he's just done. Nice one son! |

... on the plus side... we've looked pretty decent at the back. Santos seems to be growing into his game, Cook is always Cook, Jimmy's done fine and Paal has been solid. |

They've sent Siriko Dembélé, Karamoko's older brother, to Oxford Utd. Should be an interesting clash when we play them later this season. |

If loans are included then I'd guess Kyle Walker. |

Oh yeah. I was fortunate to see him (or not "see" him) a few times back in the olden days. |

Got a fair amount of stick early in the match thread, but nevertheless scored one goal and was instrumental in the winner. It's early doors of course, but having watched the replays he looks like he might be one of those rare players you forget is on the pitch for an hour or so, then pops up in acres of space at exactly the right time. There wasn't a Luton player visible for his goal (How does that happen? He's 6'3"!) For the second (arguably the best collective QPR goal since the days of Taraabt and Routledge IMHO) he had two defenders on him but instead of trying to beat them, he calmly laid the ball wide to the onrushing Paal with his back to goal,. He didn't do a lot, but what he did do was ice-water cool and very effective. I know this is well OTT but, potentially, he reminds me a bit of Spurs' John White, "The Ghost" from their early 60s team. The ability to "vanish" then "reappear" several minutes later during a match shouldn't be underestimated. |

I really think he has potential, but not as a defender. #8 perhaps? |
