Do me a favour.

Islamaphobic - "irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against Islam or people who practice Islam"

I have no fear or aversion to or discrimination against Islam, nor any other religion in fact. What I do have is an immense dislike for all religion; therefore, if I see any particular religious group gaining more power and influence I will speak up against it. That is my right.

Anyway, I'm dismayed by the way this country is headed (the election results today do noting to resolve that) and I have no more to say. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Conversely, how can it be wrong and inaccurate (as you allege) when (as you rightly say) I'm making a future prediction? It can be neither accurate nor inaccurate, right nor wrong, until the future has happened.

However, we can say with certainty that it is not awful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

What's awful about it? I've merely made a statement about what I genuinely think will happen in the future and that I'm glad I probably won't be here for it.

The Muslim vote will decide who is in power in about 20 years' time, and it will be a Muslim leader with Muslim values and rules for all (Muslim or not). Thankfully I will either be dead or won't have long left by then

Doubt I'll make it to more than a handful of games.

Average attendances across the Championship are bound to fall considerably. I wonder if anyone will compare the total loss of attendance revenue for all Championship clubs to the increase in tv revenue for all Championship clubs? Furthermore, it would be interesting to see the total loss of revenue for everyone (including local businesses etc) compared to the increase in tv revenue.

I suspect the figures are going to tell a very different story to what the club's may have envisioned.

Would be great if the Govt. intervened at some point and outlawed all these changes of KO times on the basis of protecting the economies local to the clubs.

I make you absolutely right. I think Championship grounds will be lucky to be half full for a lot of the matches which are rescheduled for tv. The atmosphere will be dead. It's going to look absolutely awful to anyone actually watching on tv, and will be shite for those who still go to the games. What a sorry state of affairs. Going to backfire big time

BIden v Trump - and we thought our options were poor !!
at 17:57 29 Jun 2024

🤣🤣🤣🤣

It will all be fine. It's the current US leaders and NATO who are the problem. Ukraine will be sorted and that will be the end of that. Putin has absolutely no interest in anything other than what he has already stated. I don't believe the media nonsense about him wanting to take over the world and all that claptrap. That's just stuff spouted solely to justify selling (or donating, using our taxes to pay for them) even more weapons to Ukraine.

Trump is not a problem to world peace. Quite the opposite in fact (he'll bring an end to all the wars the US and NATO are starting at their paymasters behest)

Why god help us? At least he didn't go rampaging around the world starting wars (because he isn't a front man or puppet for the military industrial complex) during his previous time in office. The world will be a safer place with Trump in office (because at least he actually will be in control and won't start the wars the military industrial complex demands).

BTW, I'm not a Trump fan. Bloke is an ignoramus. But the world will be safer with him innoffoce than some puppet of the military industrial complex

But he isn't really though, is he? He doesn't know what day of the week it is never mind anything more important. He is merely a 'front' for the persons who are actually running the country (namely, the military industrial complex)

The difference is he is on a fixed term contract, so he cannot be made redundant without paying up his contract in full (which is very different to the 'real world' where people are employed on 'open ended' contracts)

I play golf with a couple of lads who were involved in the development of the software used by Brentford and Brighton. Really interesting listening to them explaining little bits about how it all works. It was all top secret when they were working at the relevant firms, but they're both retired now so can talk about it a little more openly

I'd also pull all EFL teams out of the FA Cup and start a new cup which includes everyone who usually enters, except for PL clubs. Fcuk the PL.

But it's not just those games though. It's a whole childhood and young adulthood spent absolutely loving heading a football. Noone can take that away from me. I loved every minute. What will be will be. Life is full of risks, but I don't let them stop me doing anything I want to do

I played football to semi-pro level. My game was based on being very good in the air/heading the ball. I took.immense enjoyment from it as a child and young adult. I wouldn't swap those years of enjoyment from heading a football for anything. If I get dementia as a result, so be it. It would still have been worth it for such a brilliant childhood and young adulthood.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Life is for living, and living is never risk free. What is the point of living if you don't live it to the full? Why are we trying to keep everyone alive forever ffs? It's pathetic.

This stuff about military spending is b**locks spread by the military industrial complex. We are an island. We have nuclear weapons on submarines patrolling our borders. We don't need an army. Make it clear that if anyone even attempts to attack us we will immediately nuke their country. Job done. Armies are not the answer and never will be.

It took the last 14 years or so to unpick the sh1tshow of the labour years before that. Would rather cut my arms and legs off than vote labour.
