We don't lose games in which we manage to score 2 goals or more. The only exception to this all season is Leicester and that doesn't count because as we all know we don't 'do' the FA Cup. In fact yesterday and away v SU are the only two occasions all season when we have not won a game after scoring twice. This merely reinforces what we already know, I know; that A our defence is relatively solid and B we don't score enough goals goals. Interesting though I thought all the same, that 2 goals was enough to get something from the game against the top two sides in the country, and maximum points against the rest. Not a huge fix I would have thought with all the shot attempts we have. |

... have cost us dearly this season- going right back to Plymouth at home. Even games we have won, we should have won more comfortably, thereby alleviating our negative goal-difference. Should have beaten Plymouth away by 3 clear goals. Should have beaten Hull 3-0 instead of biting our fingernails at the end. Should have been 2/3 up v Blackburn by half - time. And these are only the recent games. It has been a recurring theme for the majority of the season. While we are all pleased to see the development of Kolli and Lloyd, and there is no doubting Frey puts in a shift - but oh for the (mythical) 20 goal striker. |

Instead of being disappointed by wins for Cardiff,Hull, Coventry, Oxford and Portsmouth- I was pleased with defeats for Swansea, Millwall,Bristol City, Blackburn, Middlesbrough and Norwich. |

1 After the Milwall horror show, twelve months ago, Kakay and Dozzell never saw the light of day for the QPR first team again. Given our current injury woes, will Marti be able to able to do anything similar after the Swansea debacle? The likes of Paal and Fox are obvious targets, but like I say, defenders are in short supply in the moment - perhaps it depends on the window? 2 When Paal replaced Ashby at half-time v BC, things improved significantly down the left hand side. This is according to people on here who were at the game. When Ashby replaced Paal at half-time v Swansea, things improved significantly, again according to eye-witnesses. So how does that work? Is it an actual improvement, or is it a perception by those watching based on how dire the first half performances by the incumbent was? Or is it the fact that Chair improved the whole situation down the left when replacing Saito? |
