šŸ”“ Likely candidates for the Swans job
at 13:06 21 Feb 2025

Really canā€™t see anything more than 5M being available, unless we sell more players. I can think of Mykola, Yates, VIP ( possibly too early) etc. Take half hits on them, after all this is the new era, itā€™s pretty much rip it up and start again.

Lewis Oā€™Brien who is on stupid money ( Swans pay around 100k a month plus all those incentives he had ) canā€™t be considered and MPH will leave. Delcroix will cost a fair bit. Darling looking unlikely. Thereā€™s salary freed up there.

So many players out on loan that need to know their futures, Kyrell Wilson looks the only real prospect. Itā€™s another rebuild, new head coach and staff, players to be released or sold. Of course Kyle Naughton may retire and possibly Joe Allen, we are back in phase 1 as much as we were when relegated.

Swansea City : Ramsay out of next Swans head coach position ?
at 12:57 21 Feb 2025

As ever the contenders soon become non contenders. Then we go scraping the barrel and get the best from the worst. Not only do our targets not fit our desires, money, ability or otherwise we are left with those who ā€˜couldā€™ fill the role.

All down to him this time again, if he gets the same performance levels and the same record we will be safe.

Seems his seven goals to date are not enough.

They have signed 32 year old Kemar Roofe on a deal until the end of the season.

The information given at the time, does not always correlate with the information a week later. Thatā€™s the issue with daily reporting, itā€™s as it happens and what is known at that time. We have no information as to what conversations happened before Montague turned up, but we do know now it wasnā€™t that much of a big deal. Which has surprised every person who we are trusted to talk to. Itā€™s easy in hindsight, but opinions and people change every day. Remember thereā€™s no more free radical than folk.

Earring towards your point of view mate. Itā€™s just recently albeit v Los Angeles FC theyā€™ve conceded 6 but conversely scored six after that.

Full Swansea City restructure
at 15:00 19 Feb 2025

OS

Swansea City AFC is excited to announce a restructuring of its leadership team, aimed at strengthening the club's financial, operational and strategic capabilities.

The restructuring follows the news of Richard Montague joining this week as Director of Football and includes the introduction of a new Chief Operating Officer.

Tom Gorringe has joined Swansea City AFC as Chief Operating Officer. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at Bristol Rovers, where he served as Chief Executive Officer.

Tom has a reputation for demonstrating strong financial management at his previous clubs, improving the infrastructure, increasing revenues, driving the matchday experience whilst also ensuring operational efficiency. His extensive background in football will be an asset to the club.

Ken Gude will assume the role of Executive Director and Company Secretary, transitioning from his previous role as Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy. His new position will allow him to further drive the club's strategic initiatives and football operations, while also liaising at the League level and coordinating with key stakeholders.

Gerard Cassidy, who has been with Swansea City for a decade, has been promoted to the role of Financial Controller.

Ben Greenwood, another long-serving Swansea City employee, has been promoted to Head of Football Operations and Administration.

Chairman, Andy Coleman, said: ā€œWe are making changes to our leadership team to improve our performances on and off the pitch. There will always be a period of transition after a takeover, and weā€™ve been busy working to spot the gaps and areas that we need to improve to take this club forward.ā€

The Clubā€™s updated Executive Management Team will consist of Ken Gude, Tom Gorringe, Andrew Davies, Richard Morris, and Richard Montague.

This restructuring is part of Swansea City AFC's ongoing commitment to building a high-performing organisation that can achieve sustainable success.
