I take that VERY personally, Clareman. Seasons greetings to you all, and here's hoping we all have a great new year. From the Isle of fecking Man, Clareman. 😆
I really think he's learning on the job, well, he must be. Our transfer window will probably be very profitable long term, while leaving us very short this first half of a season, a situation aggravated by our horrendous injury list. But...we can set ourselves against him, or try and push him in the right direction, and be appreciative when he gets it right. He seems to listen, hence the injuries updates and Cifuentes, thank the heavens, still being in a job.
Brief synopsis- it started with someone questioning if women are stronger then men, we moved onto to whether an ocelot could beat a pangolin in a fight, and we're now admiring their offspring, while also considering weightlifting grannies. Obviously.
One difference between the sexes is that a woman probably wouldn't have done what I just did, which was google both, and start giving it some thought. Short term I'm going with the ocelot, but if he licks the pangolin, he'll be sneezing within 3 days and probably dead within a week, with a high percentage of the feline population to follow in the ensuing months. We then have to worry about the virus jumping from house cats to us. Maybe the ocelot could just apologise and walk away from this one? I've got to say Danny, I think it's really irresponsible of you to manufacture this situation.
We don't get much over here, but I saw Tom McRae was due to play in Peel Cathedral. Don't know much about him, liked a couple of his songs years ago, so went, really to support a local promoter as much as anything. Spotified his new album thought 'oh dear'. Support band were an acoustic duo, lovely music, did 6 songs, and I wondered how much I could take, really... Then Tom McRae strolled up, did his first song, I just turned round to the wife and said 'wow'. He played for 2 hours, I knew a handful of songs, but I loved it all. Something quite different from my normal punk stuff, (Therapy? We're over in October, thoroughly enjoyed that as well).
Only watched it on the stream, but Gunn's reaction to Kolli closing him down was strange...Kolli didn't appear to make contact at all. Maybe it's hair related?
We're not arguing the quality of the free kick though, but the process where the ref marks the spot where the free kick is to be taken, paces out the distance to where the wall must be, watches the keeper set up the wall, and then let's Twine move the ball to the back and side.....essentially like taking a quick, short free kick to make a better angle. If Twine didn't think there was an advantage to moving the ball, he wouldn't of. Shit refereeing.
