Varane and Kolli Brilliant Goals on 07:21 - Jan 13 by SydneyRs
The Varane goal was a belter and Kolli took his very well.
Btw did anyone see the goal Lyndon Dykes scored for Birmingham? Ok, not the strongest opposition but a cracker of goal.
Great goal. I think that might've been only his 2nd goal he's scored since he moved there! Not getting too much game time with May and Stansfield ahead of him.

I hope Varane watches it back and realises that if you can get your knee over the ball like that again, then the future shots probably won’t go into the upper tier !
It was a great, clean strike with little back-lift - almost looked a little behind him when watching live in the fog.
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Anyone got any stats on Kolli now? How many minutes per goal? What is his xG etc? As we have seen with other players, stats are not everything, but for someone I didn't even realise could play as an out and out striker he seems to have a calmness and poise in front of goal that both belies his age and suggests he could be a number 9, particularly when you factor in his growing strength and nuisance value to defenders. Yes he might have done better with the promising chance he tried to curl into the top right corner but we have seen our main strikers miss far easier chances than the one he nonchalantly put away.

Was just about to make the same notation. Given his improvement, if Varane can take advantage of opportunities that do come his way (along with Kieran) it will make our 2nd half that much better.

I hope Varane gets another, otherwise when he's an old man and wants to show the video to the grandkids they'll get the impression he played back in the days of pea-souper fogs, round about the time of Sherlock Holmes.

Thank you. Impressive.
So how many minutes does he go per goal (league and cup combined)?
Must be impressively low.
If you know that is - appreciate not your job to answer!
You can find a lot of data and stats on the 365 Scores site.
They don’t have everything but what they have is useful and Imagine it feeds the analytics tool that the Betting guys use.
Not 100% certain but I think it’s safe to assume that Scores 365 is a BET 365 business that sells/shares some of the data. If not, the name is convenient

IDK about the cup but it's 162 minutes in the league. Frey is 189 in comparison. Looking at the top scorers in the league, under 200 minutes is impressive. Both have good conversion rates too: 26% Frey; 27% Kolli. Frey is more effective defensively though and wins the ball back more.

Kolli has that wonderful knack of influencing and changing games. We need to see more of him in the number 9 position.
Am I right in thinking that is his natural position and he spent a lot of time playing that role in the youth and development teams.
I am old enough to remember Allen and Goddard coming through the ranks could Kolli and Lloyd be the 2025/26 version. If we get another striker in the window that will only hinder and block their progress.

Kolli chipping in with 4 goals and a few assists aged 19 is fantastic. He's not perfect and maybe he won't be good enough, but to have him organically come through our youth system and properly contribute to the first team is a real plus for the club. I doubt he will stay here for long as he doesn't seem to be first choice and he will want to play

I hope we sort his contract and he stays - As I say he influences and changes games which is a major natural talent and benefit - With good coaching he could really develop into a fine player. Same with Alfie Lloyd I would rather see these two more in the second half of the season progress than getting a 4th/5th choice Premier League striker on loan.
