Four years ago "well Gyorkeres never did anything for us and we on the basis of that were right not to make an offer." That is the narrative 4 years ago.Even Cooper got it badly wrong.
Players like this develop and improve. Cullen has taken 4 years to make an impression and still cannot head the ball. I for one wrote him off.
I never played much football but watched Swansea since Toshack times. I focus more on financial aspects.
My football contributions usually as with this one is a question. MPH has. 3 goal and 3 assists. I trust Williams to judge him as a he sees him every day and can monitor I his improvement and character.
I will not be put on the defensive by WR or anyone else. I watch Swansea city including u21 games when I want to at a time and place of my choosing and I am not answerable to anyone. [Post edited 7 Jan 17:28]

Darren Pratley another. 6' ft midfielder joined from Fulham after a loan spell at Brentford at the same age as MPH.
He gave excellent 5 years of service and was happy to leave London for game time. He chipped in with vital goals with his feet and head. | |

I would be happy to sign him if the price was right, nice to see him come on in the advanced midfield role for the tiring Cullen as opposed to out on the wings. Yes there are issues that would need looking at but there are issues all over the park. | | | |

I agree but he made Grimes do what Grimes should be doing time and time again, moving into a position that benefits the team, not to go back within a yard of a play to recieve a ball to then give it back to them, you talk about showboating isn't that exactly what Grimes has done it for years, the new rules for goal kick just seem to reinforced the playing out from the back at all cost and teams are getting sucked into doing it, going nowhere and inviting pressure on themselves so games swing from looking like superstars in one half to bargin basement players in the next, it would seem even Man City go sucked into the mind set of playing out from the back at went on a pretty poor run by their standards. There are other factors in Man City 's poor run like loss of players I know but at time one size does not fit all.
It is a team game and you have to build it around the players at your disposal and play to their strengths getting the best out of players William's has taken a very cautious approach in his selection and to say a number of players are not playing in their natural positions is an understatement.It is what it is but it is easy to single out individuals as I have just done with Grimes, trying to look at the future and not dismissing younger players out of hand looking for good points to build on.

He played a simple ball forward that kept us moving to get us on the front foot, same as the goal he scored he followed up his cross with a forward thinking run into the box, lots of players lose the ball by trying to put their foot on the ball.
Every player in the team has come in for critism and rightly so but maybe some praise should be given at times, in the game in which Pearl-Harris scored he did give a full blood change in front of the East stand which was met with approval if that can be encouraged then I'm sure more of the same would be welcomed.
My point would be it is not all solely down to the player.
Ntcham started a game in a defensive midfielder role and we promptly went 1-0 down, his position was changed straight away because he was asked to play in a role he is unaccustomed to doing. I feel the same could be said of Pearl-Harris but until he plays in his preferred position I cannot be proven to be correct it is just a feeling he is a better player than we are seeing.
