Best case, worst case – Preview on 22:23 - Nov 29 with 1708 views | stainrods_elbow | It was a poor game, and we were depressingly low in the block, as MC acknowledged (apart from the depressing bit), but I didn't think Cardiff were bad by any means. They had 4 wins and 3 draws out of 10 games before meeting us, including a win over Norwich and a point up at WBA. Against us, they had a lot of possession, two dozen goal efforts, and umpteen corners but just couldn't finish (sounds familiar?), while we defended well, Nardi saved us on two or three occasions, and Celar pulled a couple of rabbits out of the hat with shocking aplomb. As Marti also often says, there are no easy games in the Champ, and many of them can go one way or the other. I don't think we're going to beat Watford, but it wouldn't surprise me if we did. Great, Clive, you have your opinion (and yes, you were there, and I was watching on a stream, as I live in Ireland) and I have mine (with my reasons, though was actually agreeing with some of what you said in my post). Have a great w/end too! [Post edited 29 Nov 22:51]

Best case, worst case – Preview on 09:48 - Nov 30 with 823 views | stevec | I thought, well I know, this season has been a total disaster, but for you to then tell me we are 4 points better off at this stage than last seasons protagonists! How do we put ourselves through this? Scenario spot on. Really we simply aren’t good enough to stay up but then you look around some of the dross in this league and it might take only minimal change in personnel to somehow get out of this mess. The killer would be, if the spine of the team finally get fit enough to take on the second half of the season, only to find out that they’ve all finally succumbed to their incessant injuries and a la Willock turn out to be shadows of their former selves. That would really round off this season. | | | |
