Week 9 results BRENTFORD 5 WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS 3 Brentford capitalised on a dreadful defensive performance from Wolves to claim their first Premier League victory since August and leave Gary O’Neil’s side still searching for their first top-flight win of the season. Nobody got this spot-on, but 20 did have the outcome, with a massive 15 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score. LEICESTER CITY 1 AFC BOURNEMOUTH 0 A goal from Facundo Buonanotte sealed Leicester's first Premier League win of the season. A cool 4 had this spot-on, and further 6 got the outcome. DERBY COUNTY 2 QUEENS PARK RANGERS 0 Derby scored twice in two second-half minutes as they ended a three-game losing streak with a dominant win. Well done to gerry_us for being the only one to get this spot-on, and another 18 had the outcome. SHEFFIELD UNITED 2 LUTON TOWN 0 Jesurun Rak-Sakyi scored twice on his 22nd birthday as United moved up to second in the Championship with this victory. A great 8 had this spot-on, and a further 15 got the outcome. ROTHERHAM UNITED 2 READING 1 Rotherham made it back-to-back wins in League One after coming from behind to see off 10-man Reading, who scored with their only shot on target. Only 2 got this spot-on, and another 11 had this spot-on. MILTON KEYNES DONS 1 TRANMERE ROVERS 1 Regan Hendry got a 91st minute equaliser to help Tranmere earn a point. Well done to unitedwhites for being the only one to have this spot-on, and only burnsieespana got the outcome. 21 predicted a win for MK Dons. It was a case of hold the front page this week. I was just getting ready to say what an incredible week this was, with all the home teams winning, and then Tranmere get an added time equaliser, to spoil it. Despite there still being five wins for the host, 3 pointers were not easy to find, with Sheff Utd getting half of the 16 in total. Amazingly those spot-ons were shared out with 16 members having one each. With four outcomes each, and only that Tranmere equaliser stopping them having a full house, the top performers were mfb_cufc, who got the Sheff Utd 2-0, RSCOSWORTH, who had the Rotherham 2-1, and noah4x4, who got the Leicester 1-0, to give them all a decent 7 points. How is the season going? After those five homes this week, 30 (48.39%) of the seasons 62 games have finished that way. 19 (30.64%) have ended as aways, with the other 13 (20.97%) being drawn. The top result is still surprisingly the 2-0 with 10. Two more than the 1-1 in second. The top result for an away is the 0-2 with 5. We have yet to have any game finish 2-2, 3-1 or 1-3. With the extra added time in games last season, the average goals per game was up. So far this season the 403 fixtures in the four English leagues have produced 1061 goals, at 2 63 per game. That average is down on last season, and although it is early times with our random picked fixtures, the average is down even more, with only 148 goals (2.38 per game) from our 62 fixtures. In the Premier Another decent week for blueeagle, that included having the Sheff Utd 2-0 spot-on, gives him a record for the number of points after Week 9. His 66 is one more than noah4x4 got in the 2019/20 season. He also increased his lead by a point from basher2010, who had the Rotherham 2-1 spot-on in his solid week. A good five outcomes for thrillseeker, who was another to miss out on a full house, thanks to that late Tranmere goal, keeps him third, on the first to post rule from mfb_cufc. It is status quo for RSCOSWORTH despite his top scoring performance, and also for oxfcolu, who had the Leicester 1-0 spot-on in his decent week. The first change in this division has unitedwhites moving up a place. A more significant change saw concordman move up a couple of places, and out of the relegation zone for the first time since Week 1, after he got the Sheff Utd 2-0 spot-on. He is replaced by Sector4, who drops to the bottom three again after last being there in Week 3. A decent week for burnsieespana, that included having the Sheff Utd 2-0 spot-on, moves him ever closer to safety. In Division One The lead changes for the sixth time in this league, as the decent week for durham_exile, who got the Leicester 1-0 spot-on, moves him back to the summit again, after he spent a week there in Week 4. Three outcomes for bwildered, means last weeks leader has to settle for the other automatic spot. The top scoring performance from noah4x4 moves him up three places to a season high third. Four outcomes for Tropical_Us couldn't stop him dropping to his lowest position this season in fourth. Remaining fifth is wessex_exile, after he had the Sheff Utd 2-0 spot-on. A decent week for Lewis_1, that included getting the Sheff Utd 2-0 spot-on, moved him up a couple of places into the final play-off spot. After his leap to stardom last week, Madeira163 drops back this week, but is still within a point of the play-offs. After that good Derby 2-0 prediction, gerry_us has now incredibly got more 3 pointers than anyone in this league, but less outcomes than anyone. But he remains well in contention, just two points to within the play-offs. As does Blue4U2, after he had the Leicester 1-0 spot-on. The final member to have the Sheff Utd 2-0 spot-on was Moor_Pinot, and his decent week takes him off the bottom, where he is replaced by Jorash63. THE TABLES (62 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 10 Fixtures Time for another International break, so it 6 games from the limited number of fixtures in League's 1 & 2.
