We were at Everton who won the league that day, over 50000 in attendance, was one of my first long awaydays .
Five years later was at Liverpool when they also won the league by beating us.

I hired a coach and we left from Rayners Lane Station. We applauded the Everton players who applauded back. There’s a picture somewhere where you can see us in the corner. We filled the end.
