The RamsTrust AGM 2010 - Past, Present & Future!
The RamsTrust AGM 2010 - Past, Present & Future!
Thursday, 16th Sep 2010 02:26 by RamsTrust

RamsTrust is holding its 2010 Annual General Meeting tonight in the Press Lounge at Pride Park Stadium - and wants you to add your voice to the discussion of all things Derby County and join in a football forum.

RamsTrust holds its 8th Annual General Meeting this Thursday, 16th September in the Pride Park Stadium Press Lounge. We will be looking at the past, present and future from the viewpoint of Derby County supporters.

We will have special guests to reflect upon the heritage of Clough and Taylor as we celebrate the past glories of the Rams; before that, the present business of the trust will be completed with the annual reports. Afterwards, both members and guests can openly discuss the present-day Derby County and debate what the future might hold.

RamsTrust wants you to voice your views on the club’s situation. The Rams’ board have undoubtedly stabilised financial matters and some feel that team rebuilding and entertainment have been sacrificed to reduce the balance sheet. What do YOU think about the club's current situation?

The club have embraced a diverse range of corporate partners with their ‘networking’ philosophy but have they truly yet embraced their biggest partner of all - Derby County supporters? Is the poor start to 2010-11 a temporary setback, or a deeper malaise?

We still do not know if a guest from Derby County FC will join the forum but your questions can be aired and discussed and the evening’s outcome will be fed back to the football club. Make sure you attend to use YOUR voice as a Derby supporter!

The evening starts with the formal (member) business of the evening commencing at 7.30 pm, followed by an open football forum, with special guest Wendy Dickinson, writer of “For Pete’s Sake”, the first volume of her biography of her father, Peter Taylor. You will also be able to buy signed copies of the book.

Wendy will be accompanied by her brother Phillip and co-author Stafford Hildred and the forum is open to the general public, from approximately 8.15 pm.

Admission is free; RamsTrust membership is required for entrance to the trust’s AGM business in the first part of the evening. You can join RamsTrust upon arrival at the event - and then you are part of the independent voice of Derby County supporters! Places are limited, and so we ask members or guests to write in as soon as possible to confirm attendance.

Mail in now with your name & address details (and RamsTrust Membership Number if applicable), to merchandise@ramstrust.or.uk. We will acknowledge pre-bookings and it will be possible to ‘walk up’ and attend on the night if places remain.

Please see www.ramstrust.org.uk for a full feature on Wendy’s book and further information about RamsTrust and its activities.

We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday!
