Teale on his way?

It's being reported that Leeds Utd are in talks with the Rams about the possibility of taking Gary Teale to Elland Road.

Teale is one of the players for whom inquiries are welcomed at Pride Park and it's believed that Leeds are in negotiations with the Rams about taking him north.<.p>

29 year old Teale spent the latter part of last season on loan at Plymouth Argyle and is one of the players that Paul Jewell will allow to leave permanently. It's believed a fee of around £500,000 would secure his signature but whether Teale would want to drop down to the depths of League 1 is debateable as he still has ambitions for more Scottish caps.

Teale joined the Rams from Wigan in January 2007 for £600,000 but has been a model of inconsistency and found it difficult to cement a regular place in the team. £500,000 would be good business for the Rams and would doubtless be ploughed straight back into Paul Jewell's war chest to be used to rebuild the squad after last season's disastrous Premier League showing.
