Emanuel Alejandro Villa, or "Tito" as he prefers to be known signed for the Rams from Mexican club UAG Tecos of Guadalajara on January 4th, 2008 for a reported fee of £2m.

Tito started his career at Club Atlético Huracán in 2001, staying with them for a couple of season before transferring to Atlético Rafaela in 2003. Atlético Rafaela were relegated that year and Tito returned to the Argentine Primera Liga the following season, joining Horacio Carbonari's old club, Rosario Central. In 2006 he was signed by Atlas of Guadalajara in Mexico, scoring 15 goals for them in 30 appearances. In 2007 he moved across the city, joining UAG Tecos, scoring 13 goals in 33 appearances in the Clausura 2007 season.

He had the option to move to Spain but decided to join the Rams as he rates the Premier League as the best in the world. He is quick and strong with a good touch and an eye for goal.
