Azerbaijan President has said that Russian Air Defence "unintentionally" shot down their plane, but adds that Putin will not take responsibility for the crash!!
How very sad to learn of the passing of another Welsh rugby great from the 1970’s-the totemic Geoff Wheel, 73 @SwanseaRFC. A double Grand Slammer he devoted much of his time to St Thomas Church as organist. Deepest sympathy to his wife Christine, family and friends.
When we were in college, he was also on the books down the Vetch. Rugby's gain, was football's loss.
With Wales - Geoff won three Six Nations titles, including two Grand Slams, a hat-trick of Triple Crowns, and the record of 15 games unbeaten in a Welsh jersey.
RIP Geoff - one of life's gents. - A monster on the pitch - A Gentle Giant off it!! 😥
Fury was well aware of the fact that Usyk could hurt him. It was obvious from bell one. He suffered from PTSD. Fury is no idiot, and as much as he tries to act unhinged and fearless - as soon as the fists touched his face and the left hand repeatedly pushed in his ribs -the first fight came rushing back to him, and he found he had no answer.
He didn't do the right things in training that would allow him to beat Usyk.
In order to catch Usyk, you have to catch him within an exchange. You can't punch and then let him punch. You can't let him punch and expect a chance to hit him afterward. He's a different pedigree. He changes angles. He gets up on his toes and bounces - this allows him to control the timing of the fight.
The fight happens when Usyk allows it to happen. Fury was flat footed the whole night. The only time he could score was when Usyk allowed him to score.
Fury couldn't see through the pain. He couldn't see through the discomfort. Maybe Usyk isn't able to either, but it didn't matter because he is so incredibly skilled. The fight didn't have to go there, and he didn't let it go there.
The fight itself was good. I liked the drama, but it is a 1 watch fight. I'm not going to see anything the second time that i didn't see the first time around.
I really like Usyk - his skill ability, his mental approach to the fight, his heart, his character, and his respect for the sport.
"On Dec. 19, U.S. Central Command Forces conducted a precision airstrike targeting ISIS leader Abu Yusif aka Mahmud in the Dayr az Zawr Province, Syria resulting in two ISIS operatives killed, including Abu Yusif.
This airstrike is part of CENTCOM’s ongoing commitment, along with partners in the region, to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians and military personnel from the U.S., our allies, and our partners throughout the region and beyond.
This strike was conducted in an area formerly controlled by the Syrian regime and Russians.
“As stated before, the United States — working with allies and partners in the region — will not allow ISIS to take advantage of the current situation in Syria and reconstitute. ISIS has the intent to break out of detention the over 8,000 ISIS operatives currently being held in facilities in Syria. We will aggressively target these leaders and operatives, including those trying to conduct operations external to Syria," said Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, CENTCOM commander."
