Agreed but is his job to improve that and he hasn’t we have gone backwards in terms of youth development! |

The Players are at fault for yesterday, but whose responsible for bringing those players in, the DOF! Ferdinand has been here since 2014 what has exactly improved? Where are the youth players coming through and being sold for a profit? What youth and development coaches has he brought in that have gone onto bigger and better things? The club is shambolic in terms of recruitment and youth development, it was only last year both our U18/21 finished bottom of their leagues. At any other club he and several of the youth and development coaches would have been replaced but we seem to accept poor performances at all levels. It’s a result based business and should be run as such! |

This is long overdue from one of our managers. It’s easy to be critical of the likes of Kakay etc but for too often the deficiencies of our so called better players have been obvious, but ignored with the odd decent performance. A few examples, Willock has ability but is lazy and weak both mentally and physically, but will do something good and that’s forgotten. Chair the same, holds onto the ball too long and makes poor decisions, but again will do something to turn heads. Field is the opposite puts his heart and soul into every game but slows everything down. We need to accept we are a mid table team for the majority of the time, yes we have and could be higher, but the players let us down with weak performances just when we start to believe. Why do you think there has been no bids for these so called great players, within football they know their problems and it’s only now a manager has had the guts to call them out, long overdue. Just hope he gets the time to sort out this mess, but suspect our wonderful DOF, who seems exempt from criticism by some, will get involved and will extend Hamilianen contract again! |

Agree completely, know someone who is good friends with Critchley and said he will very much take his time in assessing players and making changes. So would expect little movement this window unless we can off load a few, then lots of coming and goings in the summer, albeit on our limited budget. |

Lots of rumours re Regan Poole from Lincoln City, link being Garrity previously at Lincoln and fact his contract is up soon. Full back but can play centre half or wing back, might be Laid replacement next year or cover this? |

Long time watcher but finally posting. Been a fan for over 55 years and as you can imagine seen lots of ups and downs and to be honest it’s part of supporting your team. Loved Ferdinand as a player but really struggle to understand how people can defend him as a DOF. I am happy to be educated but how have we improved under his watch? What youth players have come through and been sold to sustain the club going forward (I don’t mean other teams cast offs)? What coaches in our youth and development set up are other teams looking to recruit? It was only last season where our U18 & 21’s finished bottom of their respective leagues ! Then there is his recruitment of strikers, Bonne and Dykes have been a disaster, but remember there was also the likes of Washington! Recently two strikers at Coventry and Luton have shown us what could have been, both costing half of either Bonne or Dykes! Surely that along calls his judgement and therefore ability to do the job, in question. Big no for me and if he wasn’t an ex player (we already have too many of them) he would have been gone long ago. It’s time the club appointed to such posts and I include coaches in this, purely on ability and not because they are friends of people or ex players. |
