What a load of tosh!
If we get promotion via the play-offs then the contributions of Bamford and Thorne in particular will be recognised and remembered. But at the same time the future contributions of some of the play-off final starting eleven will be so short-lived the chances of them becoming "legends" is vanishingly small.
Our defence in particular will need to see significant recruitment for the performance in the Premier League to remain respectable. Similarly the forward players, though the midfield may have the potential to make a significant contribution.
Craig Bryson may have the unique distinction of being the only Nigel Clough signing to become anything close to a legend. |

Alan Hinton is for me the most significant example of a player for both teams. There is no doubt we saw the best of him and he played a part in both of our Division One titles. Two others Henry Newton and Terry Henessey did the same and ended up with a Championship medal with us.
