Cardiff City v Swansea City : Match day thread
at 09:45 17 Jan 2025

morning one and all
to me the lack of anything happening on the transfer front 17 days into the window show there has been little if any change in the way things are being done,we were told planning was way out in front we had contacted clubs and players and we were hoping for 2 or 3 guys to come in, we HAVE made 2 offers for Lowe both rejectedbut nothing else
Even our pals up the road millions in debt have signed someone for over 2 million fee acepted player here may even be able to play agaist us , and we have no 100% fit centre halfs no reall guile to break open defences little pace and of course 17 days in no new people in
Whats changed with these new owners?????? anything ????

We need a cb in the door this week!
at 09:28 16 Jan 2025

Im afraid it does not look as if it will happen does it for what ever reason?
I do notknow or understand how clubs in far worse f f p situations are still paying big money for players and not only them up the road
I for one am disappointed with the non action of our new owners this transfer window to dat we only seem to be after 1 player when we ne 3 or 4

Noel Milleskog transfer news
at 06:26 15 Jan 2025

Morning all,
After all the turmoil over the last 2 weeks or so for me the board have NOT shown they are on top of things, the manager situation, has whilst not satisfactory to some has been sorted with the statement from the chairman saying the manager is fully on board some will be pleased some not, but there is no way they will move the current manager out at this time for finacial reasons, but like the old owners there is a lot of talk but no action or at least to joe public seems like no action, Mr Darling , the chap Lowe are they or are they not staying or coming in get it done one way or the other, after that chairmans statement they HAVE to back him now or risk another nervy end of season and losing many many more fans some of who will not renew season tickets nor turn up for games as this is written there seem little if any change from the k and L days quite dissapointing

that whats make me think at this time of writing NOTHING has changed re the new board, they the new owners are losing fans hand over fist, no action and this window almost the same as the ones under the old owners , promises, talk lots of it and NO action .
they should be on top of the transfer situation the manager and the way we are playing or in this recent few weeks NOT playing
if they do not sort the situation out within days another defeat on the tele deffinatly on the cards sorry to say,

🦢 FA Cup weekend starts here
at 07:27 13 Jan 2025

morning all,
Well the game yesterday has highlighted the many short comings the club has on and off the field, the new board must show their worth now to show the fans that they care as much as all Swansea city fans do, its their club and they will do what they want BUT unless they show that they are on top of this and sort the problems in both areas the fan base will continue to walk awaythe fans, people, who follow Swansea all over the country deserve more and the performance yesterday was abysmal, unfortunatly the writing has been on the wall for some time now, So Mr chairman and you members of the board either sort the problems NOW or it looks as if we have swapped owners for nothing for as i write NOTHING has changed has it?

this game is over bar the score, the board will have to decide the futue of where we go from here, BUT there is no doubt this squad is nowhere near good enough, and as bad as things are the manager has to be part of of what is going on but he can only pick who is available, and he carries the can for that, the squad need quality and every one can see the gulf in class between by far the worst team in the prem to us, and they have hammered us again and again as they are today so the new owners either now make desicions to show ambition or lose even more fans and goodness forbid a defeat next week will kill a lot of season renewals
the fans that have spent hard earned money travelled all that way to be given a performance like that TERRIBLE

good morning Dr, on the face of it and puerly for the financial side think you are not far off the mark, BUT putting that aside do Swansea city fc want to climb the table attract better players bring back the crowds and have an amition to get to the top or not? whilst i think we can all agree the previous owners and latterly remarks by our manager have certanly not helped the situation, Mr Darling is one of if not the key to a succcesful team, its only my opinion of course but the club should go the extra mile to keep him, make him team captain if still here Mr Grimes could still be club captain, show us joe public the club wants to be up there competing at the top and want to be succesful not letting possibly our best player walk away for nothing or getting less than a million for him, do we know the players thoughts on the matter? if the money was right in his eyes would he want to stay? you and every other supporter wants whats best for the Swans we do not know the behind scene goings on but again only my opinion if the new owners show they want to take the club upwards the above would show a start, otherwise we will have exchanged 1 set of american owners with NO intrest in the swans for another set of some or simular ambition

whilst agreeing with you to a point we are desperate for reinforcements to "spread the load"for me the way to get fans back on board is to show ambition, get Mr Darling tied down and for me make him team captain Grimes could still be club captain show the public mr chairman we have a project to go forwards and upwards, not let one of our best defenders go for nothing to a club like brum, or leeds among others, let Tjoe a on go , for me a terrible buy if we do not show ambition there is no doubt in my humble opinion Joe public will continue to walk and stay away thats not good for anyone, we unfortunatly must stop shopping in aldy but pay a bit more in marks and spencer so the public can see the club are trying to improve and players want to be a part of it it takes money unfortunatly and the new owners must realise this or we will have swapped 1 set of usa owners for another of simular ambition

As i said this window could be our most important now after the manager fiasco i hope thats been put to bed and the board brings in what they have apprently promised,we need cover all over the field, but this weekends game shows how thin our squad really is, and not by rushing to bring in just anyone either, we supposidly have been planning and in touch with other clubs/ players so lets get some positivity moving again and quickly
