Bit of a poor example there with Bhatia. He literally *was* Nourry. Mid 20’s guy with no experience in the markets given some pocket change by his father in law to play around with. After over a decade and with one of the biggest bull markets in history, his fund has traded sideways… Utterly incompetent. |

Half their squad went straight from the stadium after their defeat to fly to Copenhagen for a party where they were acting like complete cnts and chanting ‘we miss you enzo’ Sad face if modern football. |

Putting my head above the parapet, I was told yesterday that he was gone, and messaged North saying as much. Around the same time the post match quotes came out with some transparent digs at those above him. As it’s Sunday evening and it’s not on the offish my confidence levels go up slightly. I’m certainly hoping this is wrong as whilst I’ve not been a fan of some of Cifuentes’ decisions, I don’t think he is the issue here and with a squad this lopsided and lacking in goals it really wouldn’t matter who the manager is. |

Cifuentes says what he is looking for - full back who can contribute in the final third, CM who can break the lines etc etc. ‘Belk’ identifies the players and Nourry does the deals. As with every other club in the world, for each position there is a list and we don’t always end up with #1 on the list. It’s important to point out that Belk is not doing the work all himself, he has a team of ‘performance analysts’ compiling the data to create a database on players and potential managers, but of course it’s his name at the top so the quality of that database falls on his head. The biggest criticism I’ve heard of the setup is that we work more on tape than getting eyes on the the players, something Gallen and Dave Mc commented on as well the other day. |

We are bottom of the league and the overwhelming majority of those turning up at LR every week don’t even know who the DOF is at the club, let alone have an opinion of him. If/when they sack Cifuentes, for the majority of fans it’ll just be next man up with a tiny minority demanding Nourry go. |

In all honesty Twitter won’t exist in a few years as it no longer serves a purpose to Musk. He lent a couple of $bn against his Tesla shares to get it (Russia and Saudi paid the bulk) and his net worth has gone up c$100bn since Trump won. He can walk away now to what he always wanted, which is being Trumps leash holder. At least until they inevitably fall out irrevocably. |

Can’t even rail some racket while on duty at the Euro’s anymore. Burn it all to the ground. Games gone. |

Whatever level of knowledge you may believe QPR CEO requires, it’s certainly higher than that of a recruitment consultant with at best 3/4 years of work experience… |
| Forum Reply | MC has got to go at 13:09 13 Nov 2024
He is a guy with at best a couple of years work experience in his life and even that in shadowy/questionable circumstances. To suggest he is in seniority level at a Big 4 Partner level is almost as generous as QPR giving him a job. |

I mean yeah if we were top of the league and flying then nobody would care about Nourry because he would’ve shown himself competent. Instead we are rooted to the bottom of the table because he has shown himself incompetent and so people are extremely concerned about his expansive role within the club. It’s hardly rocket science is it. |

As posted in one of the other threads, ultimately it’s just not that important to RG. For every £1 he loses here he makes £10+ from WestPorts which is where his focus and energy is. QPR and LAFC are just toys, and this particular toy has been on eBay for 5 years with a silly ‘buy it now’ price. It’s basically the equivalent of someone who inherits their parents house, doesn’t need the money so leaves it in rightmove for years at a patently overpriced level because they can afford to wait for that unicorn buyer to come along, fall in love and put heart over head on price. Some big hitters like Lindner and Textor who both already own football clubs have kicked the tyres, and passed. In the time the club has been scouring the US for a buyer, Burnley and Birmingham have found US consortiums so the inevitable conclusion must be that the asking price is not based in reality. If the owners were willing to take what the club is worth - £10 and a £50 Nando’s gift card with £20 remaining on it - the club would’ve moved long ago . As it is, the club is drifting rudderless with an ownership team who don’t care, a chairman not even in the same country and a 26 year old recruitment consultant given the keys as he talked the talk and was willing to take the stress off their hands. As to where we go from here, fck knows honestly. People have talked about administration as a way of getting rid of them, but they’ve to date shown no appetite to walk away from their losses so it would be more likely the club would fall into liquidation over their creditor claims than find a new buyer. Careful what you wish for. |

And what did we get last January? Frey for £10 a week to the summer and then great money this year Andersen for £10 a week to the summer and then great money this year Hayden on a basically free loan from Newcastle as we have an arrangement with them via Jamie Reuben Hodge on a basically free loan from Wolves who MC could never shoehorn into the team and is now in L1. It wasn’t a good window by any stretch of the imagination. Some good management and more than a helping of luck dug them out though. |
