Decent company, what decent company??? Man Utd & Burnley didnt want him, Warburton is an average Manager (done nothing basically) although I like him. [Post edited 1 Feb 10:06]

He has limited skills for sure despite what you think. His first touch is inconsistent and it needs to improve improve - compare his control to Paal, there is no comparison. Look at Premiership players, miles ahead. It is nothing to do with nationalities either, I do not care if they come from Timbucktoo!!! Dunne is all about 'blood & thrust'.....and it is brilliant for us where we currently stand. Not interested in Cook but his control of a football is better then Dunne. [Post edited 1 Feb 9:48]

Dunne is not a particularly a good player, he lacks a lot of natural ability. His best asset is his attitude towards the game and QPR in particular - it is immense for the Team & Club and the players, he would be massive around the dressing room. He is far from being a Premiership player and imho he will not play much Premiership football - he does not have the necessary talents. If we get a bid in of around £2 million he will be out of the door. A shame but we would not be able to let that money go when his contract expires soon. What I hope is the Club sorts it out 'one way or the other' today/tomorrow in order that we can get a decent RB into the Club before deadline (& we should already have players on the list to make bids for!!!). It should not be too difficult to ask Dunne what he wants to sign a new contract and if he doesn't commit or we cannot commit to his demands then he should be sold. Lets just sort it out FFS. BTW, I really do not want him to leave.....more than any other player.......if he does leave then good luck to him, he is proper and life & work is about choices. [Post edited 1 Feb 9:30]

When a player extends his contract he would normally ask for a 'signing on' fee. Not only that but a player once he resigns he does not only get his basic wages paid but normally other bonuses such as appearance money, team points, league position, etc, etc....it can go on. Furthermore, there are other player costs such as food costs, travel costs, general player costs (ie, kit), insurance costs and it goes on. My view is that he is not good enough and never will be to play the level we want to play at, currently the Championship. We should cut our losses and move on....good luck to him. |

Sell him, get him off our payroll. He is not good enough. He is not what we need. |

I do not think he stopped us winning the game but he did not help us at all.....Wednesday made a lot of important fouls (for them) and stopped us going forward a lot. He failed to give some pretty obvious yellow cards, the first was Smyth for a rugby tackle which was correct decision but could & should have given a couple of Wednesday players but opted no to. My view is that he did not play very well at all. |

There will not be wholesale changes for the Millwall game....... Looking at the game yesterday where we did OK but not enough to win the game and depending on fitness of players I would pick the following team..... Nardi, Paal & Dunne (FBs), Edwards & either Cook/Morrison(CB's), Varane(DCM), Colback, Field, Smyth, Chair(??) M) & Frey/Lloyd(F). Millwall an intimidating place to play, they are big & strong, we need some brave players in the starting 11. We have enough in the team/squad to beat them. |

He is a Ranger - 100%., he will not leave for another Championship Team. |
| Forum Reply | Eze Transfer Deal at 10:18 23 Jan 2025
Seems a lot of money...£60 million. I know a couple of Palace season ticket holders and they are telling me that Eze is very decent but not playing as well as he did last season......and the reason he is still at the club. |
| Forum Reply | Team Spirit - Definitely in Evidence Here at 10:13 23 Jan 2025
You do not win anything without team spirit and togetherness. I have felt we have had it for some time, we have a 'proper' team spirit here and even the subs and the players have been replaced during the game are all together despite being disappointed. Winning is a team effort, one or two or three players will not win you the prizes. |
| Forum Reply | If all fit and firing, who's first choice at CB? at 16:11 22 Jan 2025
They all have their own playing skills, not a lot between all of them. Dunne is RB so will only play CB in a emergency.......Cook is the Captain so I would expect him to play. Out of the others I would suggest JCS would play providing fully fit otherwise Edwards with Fox being a very capable CB or maybe LB in a flat back 4 if Paal is unfit or needing of a rest. Plus not forgetting Morrison at times of need but could be a close starter. Difficult for MC but good for him to have choices. [Post edited 22 Jan 16:14]

How many goals has Madsen cost us?? & how many Ashby?? Ashby is doing the basic things wrong & costing us goals. Madsen needs time, it is very different in midfield where he has played and in the Championship. Last night he did OK when he came on but did no see much of the ball at his feet. |
| Forum Reply | Ashby injured or hooked? at 09:45 22 Jan 2025
It was generally poor defending but, whilst not 100% sure, I think he gave the ball away originally through pretty poor play. I do not know if he was hooked or injured but what I can say, he was pretty poor with his distribution when he came on. |
| Forum Reply | Sir Marti of Cifuentes at 09:32 22 Jan 2025
MC is not the only reason we are 'where we are' but MC and his assistant (Calm) are the exceptionally important. |
| Forum Reply | Ashby injured or hooked? at 09:30 22 Jan 2025
Madsen worked pretty hard as far as I could see, kept the structure of the team in midfield as MC had set out at the beginning of the game, cleared a dangerous attack on the edge of the box, got forward.....wtf more do you want him to do when he comes on as sub. Compare that with Ashby and there is no comparison. Whilst you should have your opinion....sadly, .it is very wrong. |
| Forum Reply | Varanne at 09:20 22 Jan 2025
Not as good as he has been but still good enough for me last night.....we could have a 'proper' player here. |
| Forum Reply | Morgan Fox at 09:09 22 Jan 2025
Not nearly as bad as so many posters think, yes he had a bad game earlier in the season and cost us but so has most of the players.......you do not get to play as many matches as he has, represented his country and been a pro for a long time if you are a 'pixx poor' player. Done very well since he has been playing recently and was never as bad as posters posted, a good pro and an asset to the R's. Been important team player since he arrived. |
| Forum Reply | Anyone else see at 22:30 21 Jan 2025
Agreed, but some posters are just so blinkered. His positioning and work rate tonight was fine. |
| Forum Reply | Ashby injured or hooked? at 22:23 21 Jan 2025
I would suggest that he was not asked to do what Smyth does.....MC does know his players and what they can & cant do!!! [Post edited 21 Jan 22:25]
