That would be my preference, Brian but I think it's here to stay. With every match televised all incorrect decisions are highlighted. Opinions seem to be moving towards it with all these incidents occurring in the cups, when it isn't present. I think we are going to have to live with some form of it, so let's make it better, more like it was 'sold' in the first place. |

....and therin lies the problem. The offside rule, that I played under and refed a bit with, would have given offside against all of them as soon as the ball is kicked. The current rule only gives a decision against a player when he becomes' active'. WTF are they doing on the pitch if they are not active? No excuse for the error but I can see the confusion, trying to watch several players and determine if the one that plays the ball was one of those who were standing in an offside position. As for VAR, it seems to be here to stay. So let's make it more sensible. Twenty seconds to make a decision, no stupid red and green lines, original decision stands unless it's clear and obvious. |

Congrats to you both and thanks for your entertaining and sometimes bewildering posts over the years. Mrs FB and himself will be 32 years in July. 2nd time around for both of us. Guildford RO, no aisle, no tunes but our song is also Van the man, Have I told you lately... We like the Rod the former Mod version too. Best wishes for a long and happy future. |

I'm not sure either but do we ever offer a contract without an option? I can't see much logic in giving a player a year's deal only to then loan him to another club and, irrespective of how he performs, he can talk to other clubs in January and leave in July for free. Unless, it was a belt and braces approach. We signed him before we knew what other strikers were available and knew we could recall him in January, if we had an injury crisis with the forwards. I would imagine that there are some costs that are not being covered by Orient and that with our tight control on expense the above rational would be unlikely. Therefore I assume we have an option. |

Take up the option, that I presume we have, see how he goes in pre season and early season and make a decision to offer an extension or sell. |

It's pretty much the same for me, maybe one or two away games in a season. I like to sit so going away is difficult as most tend to stand. I'm a similar size to most of our wide midfielders, so even if I stand, I can't see much. Agree with your positives and negatives. You can't see a lot of player movement off the ball on a stream and you don't have control of what you see. |

Wasn't much point putting long throws in for Cooper to head them away, especially without Jimmy. |

It's a negotiation! If we are asking for £3 million up front for him and he can walk for free in the summer, then I would expect it will be settled at £2 million and a bit. The rest, and more, could be made up with add ons for promotion. |

I've seen worse but it was a fairly typical Busby performance. As in the home game, what should be bookings early on are just given a 'stern' talking to and he makes a rod for his own back. Open house from then on and he was lucky that it didn't blow up on him. |

Wel I would imagine there is a negotiation but bearing in mind that Spurs have only signed him on the 1st January, he is a future asset that they want to toughen up and adjust to English football. We are a convenient location, with good facilities, an excellent manager and coach, with a rising reputation for improving young players. They will probably have instigated this. |

I very much doubt we are paying anything for him. |

Pal is a strange one. Has had spells where I'd say yes and others where I'd say no. Started well under Mr Ego, then went off the boiler😳😁 and was being targeted. Has recently come back strongly. He does have a good leap when he is on his game and is fast tricky players who he can find difficult to handle. Parker was different class, amazing defender for his size. Wilson, I only remember as an attacking full back. I can't really recall his defending but do remember he pushed Rufus out of the team at LB. |

I think he came back reasonably well after that and he was played on the wrong side in that game. However,, on what we have seen from him so far, I'm not sure he is physical enough to play as a starter in a back four. Opponents will move a big forward over to his side and target him. I think he is more suited as an attacking sub or wing back. I hope he can avoid another injury and comes back stronger ready to challenge for a place next season. |

......because his greed, bloody great ego and mates in the media convinced him that he is a top top top manager and he couldn't resist another crack at the premier. He probably thought he could keep us up and get a bigger club again or the national job. |

Thank you for accepting that I didn't blame the defeat on the ref. Well he gave a free kick for a foul on Smyth, on the edge of the box. So I thought that warranted a yellow. Then there was the foul on Field. There was repeated fouling by Wednesday, I can't remember all the incidents or who was involved, yet they only got one yellow. I agree I've seen worse time wasting and referees.. Nevertheless, there was a fair bit and he failed to act. |

I had a hip operation last year and had the same issue with the steps. I contacted the club and they moved me and Mrs FB down to the paddocks up near the away end. Only needed it for one match. |

I wasn't blaming him for losing and pleased don't say that I did, in order to become more entrenched in your statement. SW were the better team and deserved their win. However, as virtually everybody on here and Marti (except you), think he allowed excessive fouling, missed several yellow cards, delivered plenty of time delaying chat, allowed players and staff to stroll on and off the pitch in their own time and did nothing to hurry up play anytime it had stopped for a goal kick, throw etc. If you missed all of that, then I don't know what else to say. |
