Have to say that I greeted the news of QPR's demise with a very broad smile today. Don't like anything about that club and maybe only West Ham are above them in terms of unpleasantness. Maybe it's something in the Cockney Water (Peckham Springs?)
Come on then .. your challenge is to find 36 points from the next 22 games! I found 35 whilst being ridiculously optimistic .. would 49 keep us up!!

Karl Oyston "‘I have friends, black people, white people, everybody is the same and everybody should be treated the same on the planet and that’s all I have to say on the subject. We are all equal under the sun. OK?’
Sounds to me is if we had a lot of the squad players coasting a bit at this club and when called upon just weren't ready .. be interesting to see what the new man gets out of them
Have to say just looking at it on paper it just seemed to suit us more. I know people have talked about Ranger/Miller as a combo but again Saturday proved it makes us too one dimensional. The pace and the awareness of this young lad Murphy could be a real bonus whilst I wasn't upset Fonz was dropped - he's a sub at best as many pointed out when he was first signed.
I read a pretty nasty thread about Will and would just like to say I think he does a decent job in the most difficult of circumstances. Some say that by 'allegedly' going on a trip to visit Riga with Oyston that it affected his integrity - how - anyone would want a scoop like that. I think when he needs to he tells it as it is, he tweets practically every day keeping fans informed and I enjoy what he does.
The fact he can't write half of what he probably wants to is down to the Gazette's unwillingness to take on the Oyston's and nothing to do with Will. Just think the lad deserves some support after some uncalled for comments. He is 'one of us' and good on him for dealing with the flack with dignity and not taking on the trolls.
Can't see many point coming our way before the next international break if I'm honest and realistically we're going to need at least 2 wins and a draw to get out of the bottom three. Can't see us achieving anywhere near that and fear our backsides will be firmly cemented to the foot of the table until the end of November at the very least.
Also someone made the point that's a quarter (slightly more of the season gone) and so we need to be averaging something like 15 points from 33 for the rest of the season - not much room for disappointment there!
Surprised he's not asked Karl to borrow some of the ones that we're not using anymore!!
Shrewsbury Town are to install extra seating for their League Cup fourth round tie with Premier League leaders Chelsea, which will break the ground record at the Greenhous Meadow. Tickets sold out when they went on general sale at the Meadow on Monday. The club plan to put in 486 temporary seats in two corners of the ground, creating a new capacity of 10,361 for the game on Tuesday, 28 October. Shrewsbury's previous ground, Gay Meadow, was their home for 97 years from 1910 to 2007. The club's official record attendance is 18,917, for a league game with local rivals Walsall in the old Division Three in April 1961. After the ground capacity was reduced to 8,000 following the post-Hillsborough Taylor Report, Shrewsbury left the Gay Meadow to move to their new home at Oteley Road, on the south-west side of the town, adjacent to the Meole Brace retail park, in 2007 The new Meadow's capacity is 9,875, which will be raised to 10,361 for the Chelsea game. The current record attendance is 9,510 for the League One derby with Wolves in September 2013 "We knew capacity wouldn't be enough," said chief executive Matt Williams. "So we have looked at all avenues to be able to add extra seats. "Since the draw for the fourth round, demand from people wanting to attend the Chelsea game has been high. "For the club to add the extra seating on our own isn't financially viable, but Capital One have been kind enough to fund this by becoming the stand sponsors." The crowd will be the biggest for a Shrewsbury home game since 12,356 watched the FA Cup fifth round tie against Arsenal at the old Gay Meadow in February 1991.
For a work challenge on Friday we have to come up with as many chocolate based recording artists or songs as we can - winner gets to divvy up a crate of selection boxes!

I was quite pleased this morning to be greeted by two private messages on AVFTT with regards to something I wrote about yesterday. Good to get a community going where fans can interact off the board. I'd quite like to have sent a message to the lad who wrote the Jimmy Armfield Thread on the old site but it seems so antiquated over there, they struggle publishing board messages let alone private ones!
Anyhow, thanks to the two lads who dropped me a line and replies should be in your in box gents!
Liked what I saw of him today although considering that he and Joan should have psychic twin powers I was amazed they didn't read each other's game better than they did
.. at the start of this shambles would there have been such a negative response. If KO would have offered him the job when Ince went I don't think it would have been the appointment many wanted but I'm pretty sure it would have got a better response than the one I'm reading about at the moment!
Have to say my Missus is watching some randoms watching people make cakes and at the moment I haven't bothered to get up and watch England in the other room! Is this the 'Blackpool effect' where I just can't summon up any interest!!
