Firstly, plenty of members of the pearl st gave Josh a standing ovation, clapped, and sang "there's only one Josh Lillis" as he left the field (I personally did not hear any booing)... it was slightly more obvious that he had taken a knock from that end of the ground. Nevertheless, as many have already pointed out, why is he not being taken off before we faced a Barnsley free-kick in a very dangerous area. If Keith had any nouse about him he'd have told Josh to go down, and the substitution would have to take place. Secondly, I think Hill seriously overestimates what the fans think of him... not one member of the crowd cheered or clapped at the fact that Harrison was being taken off free-kicks because of how poorly he had taken them during the game (which I don't dispute)... we were cheering at the fact that our manager had finally decided to come to his senses and tell his 6ft+ centre half to get into the box/ not take set pieces in key and dangerous areas. I can only speak for myself and those sat near to me in the stand, I felt not one ounce of anger towards Harrison himself for the level of free kicks that he took. I only felt bemusement and anger at yet another ridiculous tactical decision by the manager himself. I clapped, cheered, jeered or whatever you'd like to call it directly at the manager. Now though, the fans have been outed in the media for getting on the back of a 22-year-old defender which in reality is a total lie. Baldy Mourinho indeed. |

Any Dale fans know if the Clayton Green pub will be showing the 12.30 Spurs Arsenal game today? Otherwise, any suggestions for decent boozers with the game on near to ground? |

Man City to score 100 or more premiership goals, 40/1 a week ago. Now backed in to 33/1. Middlesborough promoted, Burton relegated, Blackburn top 6, Mansfiled top 7, 20/1 Britt Assombalonga, Omar Bogle, James Collins, Harry Kane & Romelu Lukaku each to score 20+ League goals 50/1 |

Could have certainly got more money elsewhere, give him the captains armband I say, most consistent player for las 3 years! Shown some real commitment to our club by signing this deal, top marks to the lad! |

Back up GK (I rate Lillis when fit) If raff goes, obviously a RB. 2 CB's (1 to join up with Harrison in first choice 11 and 1 squad player who hopefully pushes Jim to 4th choice and limits any playing time for him next season) AM/Winger to replace NML (maybe matty done if wage structure allows it, maybe not) ST (a natural finisher, although they are of course the hardest to find) Matt Green released from Mansfield although now 30 years old, could see Hilly getting a few more years out of him, maybe Rhys Bennet could put a good word in. Personally don't care one bit about Lund going, if he thinks he's bigger and better then RAFC then good luck to the lad. Personally in terms of player contribution throughout a full season he's our 5th choice central midfielder for me (behind Camps, Allen, Rathbone & Keano when played there) ... throw Cannon into that mix as well [Post edited 11 May 2017 17:41]

I'll rephrase '2 yellows in the first half,' either way TVOS let's not be facetious, it's very very silly [Post edited 28 Mar 2017 20:45]

Possibly a heat of the moment post... Second yellow in the first half though, silly silly behaviour |

Typical ... Clearly doesn't care about the club as much as other players do, first yellow for arguing with the ref |

Ref Awful, pitch awful, their cheating tactics awful, McNulty awful and pretty much our entire defence awful. Shame that the ref lost control as I feel like at times in the second half the only reason Millwall got back into it was the sheer amount of free-kicks that the ref gave them, how on earth that 50/50 was a foul when Camps went down for the head injury I'll never know! Thought that we looked so good going forward at times and it's just a real shame we didn't put away our chances, until the 80th min we 1000% deserved the 3 points, NML look a top top quality player during spells again tonight. Now we've got Raff back in surely he has to go to right back and McNulty drop to the bench. If we can get Davies back in the frame, along with Lund back from Northern Ireland's bench, I'm still feeling slightly optimistic, mostly due to our next 5 games being very winnable in my eyes. 12/13 to 15 points from the next 5 games would certainly make the last part of the season interesting... time to believe ;) Up The Dale |
