| News Comment | Season Ticket Prices Frozen But It Is Not Enough ! at 08:32:28
By the mere fact that season ticket prices have been frozen, in actual real terms this represents a reduction by the rate of inflation. As inflation is running at between 2-3% then prices have been reduced. Do not shoot the messenger but this is a fact. |
| News Comment | Yoshida Signs New Deal At St Mary's at 21:32:26
Nick, how wrong you have been with Yoshida, and in time Stephens will also do the same. Somewhere along the line you need to admit you have been proved wrong, and man up. A lot of supporters have, me included. |
| News Comment | One More Piece Left To Put In Pellegrino's Jigsaw ! at 20:45:27
It is laughable that you are of the opinion that a CB, and not a striker, is the final piece to the so called jigsaw. Last seasons stats, do not support you, nor do the current form of Stephens or Yoshida. Our achilles heel last year was scoring goals, not letting them in. |
| News Comment | Saints' Hoedt deal to be finalised tonight? at 22:48:31
If VVD goes it will be Jack Stephens, and one other. That is unless we play three at the back, then it will be two others. Jack Stephens is the real deal. |
| News Comment | Saints Confirm Takeover at 00:21:02
Not a penny has actually gone into the clubs finances, and the real worry is this another Manchester United model. When United were taken over by the Glazers, it was bought by borrowed money. All of the debt for financing this loan, was under written by the club and not by the Glazers. Essentially the club was mortgaged to the hilt, which in the early days was nearly 40% of turnover to finance the debt year on year. Manchester United had the commercial turnover to get through this, and with the Sky money, they have gone from strength to strength. Maybe the debt is not Saints to service, but should it be then i personally would be worried. |
| News Comment | Puel On The Brink ! at 15:54:25
Pueal was signed for three years from the 30th June 2016. Could the compensation be affected and be less by completing a year in his job. |
| News Comment | Saints Release Four Players at 17:03:58
It was obvious that the fact Caceres never played ahead of either Stephens or Yoshida, that he either he was not fit or not good enough. With regard to the Middlesbrough game, he showed absolutely nothing that Stephens does not offer. Stephens could only improve in the future whereas with Caceres the serious injuries he has suffered have taken their toll. Of you go Nick press the negative button |
| News Comment | Saints V Stoke City The Verdict at 18:16:05
I have stated many, many times on here that Jack Stephens really is a centre back with tremendous promise and is destined for the very top. I know as of today 22nd May 2017 that most on this board feel that he might be an able 3rd or 4th back up for centre back next year rather than 1st or 2nd. Every game he has progressed, sometimes being the only brightness in an end of season of gloom. His composure on the ball, his movement forward have all been plusses. Of course he has and will make mistakes, though not of the number his fellow teamates have managed to individually accrue throughout the season. Jack Stephens for England within a year, yes i predict that as well. Everyone has to remember that before being becoming a regular tailend of this season he had only played Div 1 with Swindon and Coventry. |
| News Comment | Saints V Manchester United The Preview ! at 16:36:59
I personally think Caceres should not start tonight ahead of Stephens as he did nothing at Middlesbrough to deserve displacing Stephens. I am honestly of the opinion that despite the consensus being that Stephens will only be 3rd or 4th choice for CB next season he will improve to be the 1st or 2nd choice irrespective of whether Virgil Van Dijk stays or not. |
| News Comment | Saints V Arsenal The Verdict at 11:34:44
Totally agree with Salisbury Saint, Stephens and Yoshiba are not to blame for the two goals we let in, mistakes were made elsewhere further up the pitch. The same rationale applies to the fact Gabbiadini did not score, nothing creative behind him. |
| News Comment | Rumours Starting Over Puel's Future At St Mary's at 10:53:35
This article is total Bullsh*t !!! You are trying to make something out of nothing after a disappointing performance from the team. There was an article in France that reported on the booing from the fans and they have surmised that possibly Puel will not be the manager next season. One reporter stretching the truth to sell more Newspapers or to get more clicks on their website. So your agenda now is to drive Puel out and with it another summer of chaos. |
